Description
This 1972 Chevrolet C10 Cheyenne Super has a great classic style, right down to the correct V8 under the hood. And as you look over all the details, you'll see a mix of preservation, restoration, vintage, and premium that makes this an absolutely cool pickup.
This is a real-deal Z84 Cheyenne package C10, and so that means it was born to be special. And these premium trucks look great in black. The factory-correct color was given a respray later in life, and so you get a nice luster in the sunshine. You can also tell there was an investment in the trim. The full-length accenting has its hallmark wood-like inserts and on the tailgate. In fact, even the bed rails have the distinctive inserts. The bed is clean; the bumpers are bright; and you have the iconic rally wheels. So you can tell they took extra time on this truck. It really is well-done down to details, like the seldom-seen hood ornament.
Inside the premium black theme continues. You can tell they've made fresher investment in key areas like the carpeting and door panels. But it never loses that vintage charm...that's why this Cheyenne's the side panels still have their western-style pattern. There are desirable classic features like the Delco AM/FM radio and factory air conditioning (will need servicing before blowing full cold again.) You'll love slipping behind the classic Chevy three-spoke sports steering wheel. It's on a tilt column, so that you can get a good view of the bright and clean gauge package that even includes a central tach.
The engine is a 350 cubic-inch V8, as advertised on the front fenders, and you're looking at a year-correct block under the hood. Not only do we believe this is the original motor, but also you can see they made sure to give this a highly original setup. Everything from the air grabber to the exhaust manifolds looks stock. And everything from the bright block to the nice hoses tells you this has been given the right investments along the way. The motor fires up nicely as it inhales deeply with the four-barrel carburetor. The V8 feeds a TH350 three-speed automatic transmission its way to the 12-bolt rear end. The 1972 C10s are really sought-after because this was the final year for the trailing arm rear suspension, which helps makes these Chevys ride smoother than most other vintage pickups. Add this power steering, power brakes with discs up front, and wide Tiger Paw tires, and it's easy to enjoy the roads in your easy cruising pickup.
This Chevy has been given the right mix of investments and respect so that it can remain a terrific representation of a true classic premium Cheyenne. It was even built at GM's Atlanta plant. So to have something this well represented coming out of its hometown just feels extra special. Call today!!!
