This 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air has all the best pieces you love, like a cool hardtop profile, four-on-the-floor, and an upgraded crate small block. So as you dig into the details, it shows you a sharp-looking icon also made for better driving.
The '57 Bel Air gets the feeling right. With the jet-inspired ornaments on the hood, wide golden “V” under the Chevrolet badging, and the extra-long tailfin trim, it's everything we want in a 1950s machine. Of course, it also helps to have a car that looks like a true red-blooded American. The finish is a later respray that looks nice and glossy to help showcase the iconic curves and straight sheet metal. A good body also means it does a good job showcasing the full-length trim. This bright work looks radiant, and so do the bumpers and upgraded Rally wheels. It makes for an impressive Tri-Five that you'll happily show and drive.
Inside, you'll find one of the most striking factory color combinations. The red of the exterior is utilized again inside, and now it's joined by textured black inserts on the seats and door panels. Of course, it also helps to have a car that looks like a true red-blooded American.
There are crisp, clean gauges behind the highly stylized Bel Air steering wheel. The rest of the chrome on the dash looks bright. The whole presentation feels authentic, but there are also the right well-integrated upgrades you want in a driver's car. This means better entertainment from the retro-style AM/FM radio, and they added R134a air conditioning (it may need a recharge or servicing to blow ideally cold.) And the Hurst shifter prepares you for some added excitement under the hood.
The engine bay has a tidy style and lovely details like the etched polished valve covers with a matching air grabber. This 350 cubic-inch V8 is larger than anything offered in the Tri-Five era. It has been further enhanced with an Edelbrock AVS2 four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake, and a dual exhaust with Cherry Bomb mufflers. There are good supporting components like the large aluminum radiator and dual electric fans. The four-speed manual transmission gives you complete control over the V8's power and rumble. Plus, power brakes with front discs make for a more confident all-around driver.
Complete with an owner's manual. We like this Bel Air because it has a clean, sleek, and attractive style with the right maturity to ensure we wouldn't feel bad about truly driving it. That's the right recipe for an icon you can enjoy fully. Call now!
