This 2003 Chevrolet Corvette 50th Anniversary Convertible is for the true collectors out there. Its only owner thus far was a Chevrolet dealer that kept it for many years in his private climate-controlled collection on the outlet's grounds. So only way proper care would be closer is if you lived with a GM technician. The result is an immaculate drop-top with every option box checked - including the six-speed. And you have terrific paperwork and extra memorabilia, too.
Anniversary Red is a single-year color that was carefully chosen. After all, Corvette arguably looks best in red, but this deeper tone makes sure that this special car gets instant distinction. And with only about 9k miles on the odometer, this deep ruby-like red shines like a jewel. The well-respected body panels let you see everything from the wind-formed profile, to the little details, like the subtle crease in the hood's power bulge. Because the paint does a great job of announcing this is a special car, Chevy realized that there doesn't need to be any more of a boastful announcement. So they wisely made the badging for the 50th anniversary refined with exclusive pieces for the front and fenders. This example is so original that the special champagne gold wheels are still wearing their factory Goodyear Eagle tires. So if you are looking for awards from the NCRS, you already understand that this one is a contender.
These special edition cars received a special Shale convertible top. And if you like the way this looks against the red, then you'll really love opening this up to the work to show off the Shale leather interior. Just like the exterior, you're looking at an exceptional level of preservation over every inch. This continues to go for subtle elegance in commemorating the golden anniversary with special embroidery in the leather sport seats and floor mats. The invoice proves this came with a long list of features directly from the factory. It includes power seats, power windows, power locks, keyless entry, cruise control, a head-up display (HUD), a power telescopic steering column, power steering, an AM/FM/CD changer stereo with Bose speakers, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Because this car's only owner owned the Chevrolet dealer, there were also some special replacement parts ordered on day one. This includes the convertible opening weather-stripping, the console lid, and 50th Anniversary floor mats. These were the kind of items where only a dealer had the kind of knowledge and ease to order ahead of time because he knew they would be the first to wear out. While that demonstrates the kind of distinction of this example, its low use means that these OEM items are not even needed yet!
The engine bay has a clean and detailed look where they went the extra mile to keep the boss's car looking good. This is a 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS1 V8. The motor was part of a new era in Corvette performance, and so it really is the right powerhouse to have to celebrate the 50th anniversary. With 350 horsepower, performance is a guarantee. Best of all, you can dial in how mild or wild you want your ride with the control of the six-speed manual transmission - a desirable option that was on less than 1/4 of '03 models. And speaking of control, another hallmark of the anniversary cars is the ultra-desirable adjustable magnetic ride control. It was a terrific innovation that lets you have a hardcore sports car or a proper grand tourer with just the turn of a dial.
Because this car went right to the boss, this was delivered with the full paperwork and feature package. This includes mailers, magazines, DVDs, glovebox materials, and a special key ring. It even comes with the original GM MSO, one-owner Georgia title, owner's manual packet, and factory invoice. Oh yes, this is the golden anniversary Corvette kept as a collector car from day one. So if you're a true collector, too, you know this ruby red drop-top needs to be the crown jewel of your garage. Call today!!!
