GORGEOUS STANG, PEPPY 302 V8, 3-SPEED AUTO, FRONT POWER DISC, DUAL EXHAUST!!!

When looking for a great classic, we're all often on the lookout for long-term care. So this 1965 Ford Mustang has an instant attraction when you find out it has been with the same owner for 40+ years. It has even been restored with upgraded V8 power, GT style additions, and some great features for a true cruiser.

Not only has this had the same owner since 1981, but also we have a long receipt file, including $17k invested around 2007-2011 for a comprehensive restoration. This includes a respray in 2011. The dark blue metallic color is an upgrade that stays close to Nightmist Blue that the factory offered in this era. Even at over a decade old, it still retains a good shine that makes it an attractive cruiser. Of course, part of this attraction is also because the dark color draws even more attention to the well-done brightwork with the chrome bumpers, ribbed rockers, and distinctly sporty trim. Plus, we bet you picked up on the desirable GT-style upgrades, like the fog lights in the grille, deleted bumper guards, and dual exhaust mounted through the rear valance. And the styled steel wheels are a terrific part of this icon, too. So when you have all these great pieces in one ... Please ask for the full description.

So when you have all these great pieces in one package, you know it really was cherished for the long term.

The black interior goes well against the dark blue exterior. Just like the exterior, the interior is all about showcasing a vintage car that was given good care. You have a smooth dash, well-fitting door panels, a clean headliner, and nice carpeting. There are some upgrades that are subtle but worthwhile, like the R134a air conditioning system (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) And we all know there's a special feeling you get when you slip into the front bucket seat and feel the unique grip of a classic thin sports steering wheel.

The engine bay shows more benefit from the restoration. The Mustang would have to wait a few more years before the larger 302 cubic-inch small block was added, but today we know it slips in the 1965 cars with ease. So the restoration added a rebuilt example in 2007, and the consignor even states that there have only been about 3,500 miles put on it since then. It's done with all the right upgrades, including a Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, an MSD distributor, an electric fan, and Ford Racing finned valve covers. It fires up readily to signal this has been a well-respected coupe, and it feels strong to make you want to take it out on the road. In fact, it was driven over an hour to get to our showroom. After all, with a three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, and upgraded front discs, it's made to be an easy cruiser.

Long-term care cars are always a big benefit, will you be the next one to give this coupe a lasting home? Call today!!!
