HIGHLY ORGINIAL MONZA, 2.3 LITER INLINE 4, AUTO TRANS, POWER STEER, FRONT DISC!!

Highly original and absolutely distinct, this 1977 Chevrolet Monza is the kind of classic we don't see too much anymore. So if you want a loaded coupe that brings a ton of attention, this one gets all eyes on you for a very nice price.

This Monza coupe is an interesting find. This came from the period when American automakers were figuring out how to be small, efficient, and premium - all at the same time. And while that makes it distinct, what particularly makes it unique today is that they have disappeared from our landscape. Many had big V8s dropped into these lightweight bodies to make awesome sleepers, and others just lived their useful life. But this one was treated differently. The 15k miles on the odometer are believed to reflect the full actual mileage. That kind of less use really makes for some straight sheet metal. Polished chrome bumpers, good glass/lenses, and a good shine from the white paint give it a good classic look. Plus, this one has features you don't find on many other small cars. There's a real premium sense of style with the white wheels and the excellent fit Firethorn red half vinyl roof.

The red not only looks distinct against the exterior white, but ... Please ask for the full description.

The red not only looks distinct against the exterior white, but it's also a preview of the full interior. This is the factory-correct color, and the setup is believed to be original to the car. And with the well-preserved presentation, it's just another indication of a low mileage machine. Plush carpeting, taut door panels, wood-like trim, and well-bolstered front bucket seats make this feel quite substantial. And you have premium features you didn't get on many compact cars of the time, like a tilt steering column and the Delco AM/FM radio. The factory air conditioning was converted to modern R134a refrigerant (it likely just needs a recharge to blow ideally cold again.)

Under the hood is the correct 2.3-liter motor, and this shows all the right signs of being the original powerhouse. As mentioned before, the rear-wheel-drive layout makes it easy to upgrade to V8 power, but the originality is also the key to this current car's charm. The motor is peppy and well-balanced for this compact coupe. It also has the right fundamentals, including good wires, good hoses, and a newer starter. So it makes for a hardy setup. And the three-speed automatic transmission shifts smoothly under hard acceleration. That makes for a good anytime driver, especially with power steering and front disc brakes.

Complete with owner's manual packet, this is the affordable Chevy that's distinct and premium. So while you likely weren't thinking about a Monza before, we bet you now can't get this one off of your mind. Call today!!!
