This 1930 Ford Model A Rumble Seat Coupe was made for true classic car motoring. After all, you don't just have the iconic rumble seat, but also some nice extras like a comfy interior, updated engine bay, and some well-integrated upgrades. So it still has the ideal early motor feel, but in a way that lets you enjoy it more.
We love these Model As for the amount of style they bring to the road. After all, black and tan are a terrific color combo. Plus, this has beautiful details, like etched wind wings, distinct orange pinstriping, wire wheels, running board step plates, and a nice-fitting vinyl top. It's an impressive style while still giving you an overall driver-quality impression... and that seems to be the full theme of this Model A. It loves to be a true classic, but it also has the right feeling for wanting to hit the road. In fact, we're told this is coming off of a quarter-century under the same owner, and there were subtle upgrades that make a nice difference like newer headlights and LED tail lights.
When you open the door, the first thing you'll notice is how the bench seat has a fresh look and a modern hobnail-style cloth pattern for added comfort. It's unmistakably an update without looking dramatically out of place. You see a lot of that inside with details like the intricate stitching on the clean door panels and the added vital water temp gauge to the dash. There was even a modern AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input added behind the seat (it will need servicing to properly function again.) But nothing gets in the way of the vintage atmosphere. The windshield still folds out and the rear window is the desirable roll-own model. So you get a nice breeze flowing through the car. And that rear window also has the benefit of talking to any passenger you may have in the iconic rumble seat.
Under the butterfly hood is the robust Ford's 201 cubic-inch motor. Because this one was built to be a driver, it was upgraded to a 12-volt system and an alternator. The clutch and three-speed manual transmission have a clean action to make driving nice. And there's even an upgrade to a better steering box for a better cruiser.
This is a terrific coupe that was transformed to be a better driver without sacrificing the vintage style. So while you may want to add new tires or change the stereo, the overall impression is a car with long-term care that really loves to be a cruiser. Call today!!!
