The 2009 Pontiac Solstice coupe is already a rarity, but then when you add in exceptionally low mileage, a great color combo, and the always-in-demand turbocharged GXP motor upgraded for more power, you have a car that will forever be sought-after by collectors.

These cars are RARE. Pontiac produced less than 1,300 Solstice coupes total... not in this year, but in TOTAL. This means you can buy into a modern machine that has better rarity than a classic Hemi Mopar. But more than just its sustained value through exclusivity, the Solstice coupe is an attractive vehicle because it represents the pinnacle of Pontiac's reputation for thoughtful sports cars. Aiming to be a lighter and nimbler companion to the Corvette, the Solstice has all the great performance design cues we all love – the long hood, scalloped fenders, and fastback profile. Plus, Pontiac was really doing a great job with their styling of the twin grille that was dangerously BMW-like. All of this is straight from the factory, just like glossy Deep Blue paint. But the distinctive OZ Ultraleggera wheels are a nice hint that this has some terrific upgrades, too.

The black leather interior looks fantastic. That's what you get in a one-owner car with 2,700 miles on it. The supportive bucket seats highlight a cockpit that's built around the driver. Plus, the low mileage means little time to crease the GXP-specific seats. The three-spoke sports steering wheel has all the modern controls you could want. Beyond that is a handsome set of analog gauges that light up red when you turn the key (it matches the red stitching in the seats.) This is loaded with all the right features, including power windows, power locks, dual air bags, power mirrors, keyless entry, cruise control, and cold air conditioning. And the stereo is an upgraded AM/FM/CD unit with a USB input for everything from plugging in your iPod to charging your phone.

Under the hood is the original 2.0-liter turbocharged motor. And while that already gave the GXP a serious power advantage, that's just the beginning for this special coupe. The turbo has been remapped for 20% more pressure. This is kept cool with a Dejon intercooler, including hot and cold charge pipes. Plus, it exhales with extra power an authority with the Dynomax cat-back exhaust. The GXP adds enhanced tuning to the fully independent suspension and a limited slip rear end. Added to this are sharp handling features like the H&R springs, transmission tunnel plate for chassis strength, upgraded sway bars, grippy Nitto Invo tires, and four-wheel disc brakes w/upgraded EBC pads.
