Vintage Chevrolet trucks are extremely popular right now, and if this 1966 Chevrolet C10 is any indication, there's a very bright future in old haulers. From the handsome bright yellow paint to the rumbling 350 V8 Crate motor under the hood, this cool pickup offers a custom twist on the original design.

Finished in high-impact Bright Yellow paint, this truck has the curb appeal of a movie star. The stepside bodywork offers dramatic styling with lots of swoops and curves, as well as brilliant use of its rather subtle trim, and all of it remains 100% intact on this hauler. Other styling details include the wing-like lip at the back of the cab, which probably has no real function but looks really cool, and the neat crease that surrounds the entire cab. Paint and bodywork are done to a very good driver-quality standard, so this truck will be right at home both at local shows and on the streets afterwards. A smoothed tailgate and roll-pan out back work to dress up the basic pickup truck look, but otherwise the package is pretty much as GM intended. A good bit the original-spec trim remains, too, from the massive front bumper and delicate chrome egg crate grille up front, to the neat door handles and tailgate chains out back that look like industrial art all by themselves. The bed floor was finished in lightly stained oak wood and bright chrome trim slats, as is typical in all the top restored vintage trucks, and although it looks like a pretty dance floor, it can still handle plenty of work so you shouldn't be afraid to use this truck as intended.

Trucks were austere machines when they were new, but this one had a bit of an upgrade inside during the build. The original bench was swapped-out in favor of a later-model unit, which was then recovered in elegant black vinyl upholstery, tying in neatly with the dark carpets and other black accents in the otherwise all-yellow cab. Simplicity was the key so they didn't go overboard with upgrades, and it shows very little wear. The original gauges are a very cool setup with a single face that certainly looks restored, along with a trio black-faced auxiliary gauges installed under the dash that help keep a closer eye on the upgraded drivetrain. A Pioneer AM/FM/Cassette stereo fits neatly in the center of the dash without any major cutting or modifications, and a sporty and thick-rimmed Grant GT steering wheel anchors the cockpit while working with the B&M shifter in the floorboard – all components that keep this C10's legendary truck credentials intact.

When the truck was restored, a 350 cubic inch V8 crate motor was nestled between the front fenders to help it run as good as it looks. A 4-barrel carb atop an Edelbrock intake help make power, so it runs beautifully, and many of the accessories were upgraded, including the alternator, long-tube headers, and chrome open-element air cleaner up top. It starts easily with a great V8 rumble from the Flowmaster dual exhaust system below, and with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission, it's easy to drive. The chassis is clean but largely original with a few choice upgrades, so it's not shiny and perfect. On the other hand, it shows off what clean living down south will get you and again, if you want to use your vintage pickup to get some chores done, this one will never complain. Cool Eagle Alloy wheels with black centers give it a muscular look, especially with those fat 255/60/15 front and 275/60/15 rear Cooper Cobra blackwall radials.
