Its two-tone burgundy and graphite gray color scheme is a great fit, injecting just a bit of modern-day vitality while staying very much in keeping with this sedan's vintage identity. Step around to the side and you'll see that the Masters of this era sported instantly recognizable profiles, with their lengthy hoods leading to spacious cabins before giving way to the unique humpback shaped rear decklid. There's a nice attention to detail here as well - the way the headlight casings are painted to match the upper portion of the car, the rubber covered running boards and the overall strong body alignment are just a few examples. Description
This 1937 Chevrolet Master Streetrod is one great looking ride. It offers an outstanding combination of classic great style with plenty of welcome features built in to make for a great experience from behind the wheel. If you're looking for a head turner that's also well-suited for frequent driving in everyday conditions, this one is definitely worth checking out.
Back in its day, the Chevrolet Master occupied its manufacturer's luxury niche, and this specimen certainly fills the bill. From the ornate front grille to the suicide door handles, on back to the rear bumper, the array of chrome is in very solid shape, and clear glass with fresh-looking rubber seals surround the cabin.
A sharp custom interior awaits inside - it's in very clean condition and shows a lot of skilled workmanship. There's a pair of plush bucket seats up front and a bench seat in back with two-tone covers that tie in nicely with the door panels to each side and wear intricate embroidery on their backrests. The carpeting lining the floor is in good shape and very well-fitted as it meets up with the kick panels. A full complement of white-faced VDO gauges are recessed into a billet panel on the dash to keep a read on motoring functions and in dash vents have been added just below to bring cool or warm air into the cabin as needed from the aftermarket climate control system. The custom headliner looks great and where it descends toward the windshield you'll find a Pioneer AM/FM/CD player positioned between the sun visors to fill the cabin with sound. There's plenty of storage space just beneath that distinctive looking rear deck lid, with more intricate embroidery on display inside.
Power comes via a 350 cubic inch V8 that's carrying an Edelbrock intake and 4-barrel carb. It's a striking set up - the featured black dress up kit on the power booster and master cylinder, air cleaner and valve covers is a nice departure from the norm that provides great contrast to the burgundy walls of the engine compartment. An HEI distributor has been added to maximize available spark, and the radiator up front pairs with an electric cooling fan to keep temperatures in check. The engine pairs with a 3-speed automatic TH350 transmission and, with power steering and power brakes also in the mix, this '37 is very much up to the demands of frequent driving. The front end sits over a GM clip that provides an independent, coil spring suspension, so the ride quality is evident right away as this classic rolls on its set of 15" Vision wheels outfitted with Kumho tires.
With its great combination of style, craftsmanship and drivability, this 1937 Chevrolet Master Streetrod is a "must see". Call today!
