The 2003 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible was known as The Terminator because it gives you a powerful supercharged V8 and the sharp-handling fully independent suspension to enjoy it. This package was only available for two years, and so you know the collectors are already looking for well-presented examples like this speedy drop-top.
This is a terrific Mustang for those who love the look of performance. Ford's SVT (Special Vehicle Team) upgraded this with a more aggressive front bumper, dual vents in the hood, a stylish body kit, and a well-integrated big rear spoiler. And when the top is down, you even have a roll bar that adds both strength and speedy style. The low odometer - averaging about 3,400 miles annually - tells us this one hasn't spent the last two decades of commuter duty, but the condition of the body and well-fitting panels already demonstrates that, too. This was born a factory black car. It was likely refreshed along the way, and so it remains looking attractive. And the upgrade to blackout 18-inch alloys and a new-looking black convertible top give this a mean-as-midnight total attitude.

Taking down the roof reveals a new side to this beast. After all, you still get the black accents that go with the exterior, but it's not a full triple-black package. Instead, tan suede-like inserts in the leather seats give this a nice look of timeless sophistication. And the low mileage means this is still looking quite clean and complete. It gives this an upper-class feel that's continued with the car's long list of features. This includes power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, dual front airbags, ABS, and an upgraded AM/FM/XM touchscreen infotainment unit with USB and Bluetooth. Power windows and a power convertible top make it easy to open up to the world, and with cold-blowing air conditioning, you'll want to do it even in the middle of the summer. Of course, this Cobra is a true driver's machine. Your high-back bucket seat power adjusts to the ideal driving position, the sport steering wheel is on a tilt column, and these SVT cars get a special gauge package full of crisp white-faced readouts.
The motor is where this Terminator earns its name. The fuel-injected DOHC 4.6-liter V8 is a 32-valve motor that delivers great all-around performance. So it only got better when the SVT group added a supercharger on top. You take full control of this awesome power and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to the six-speed manual transmission. And speaking of control, the SVT cars are the only fourth-gen Mustangs that came from the factory with a fully independent rear suspension. Plus, stopping has been upgraded with hydroboost power for the four-wheel power disc brake package. And Bilstein shocks and grippy Michelin Pilot Sport tires complete this total performance setup.
It's believed that there were less than 2,100 Terminator Cobra convertibles done in black over the two-year run. So you know the kind of desirability and collectability this one has. So hurry up while it's still affordable. Call today!!!
