FUEL INJECTED 5.0L V8, AOD AUTO, POWER STEERING, POWER 4 WHEEL DISC, COLD A/C!

There are new trucks you can buy on the showroom floor that aren't as dialed-in, good-looking, and all-day comfortable as this 1956 Ford F-100 Restomod pickup. Packing modern 5.0L V8 fuel-injected power, an AOD transmission, performance suspension, a high-visibility paint job with some cool vintage script work, and plenty of creature comforts to improve the ride experience, this turn-key 2nd Generation Ford F-100 pickup is one of those trucks that really can do it all.

There's no denying that the mid-50s Ford pickups were some of the best-looking trucks ever built, and the 1956-model is probably the most popular. With that aggressive forward-canted attitude, the curvy bodywork has a classic old pickup look that also manages to be very sporty at the same time. This particular final-year, 2nd generation F-Series features a wraparound front windshield, slammed stance, elegant wood bed, and high-impact Matte Blue-and-Matte Black paint job – making it one of the coolest early F-100s we've ever promoted. Matte Blue paint is the perfect complement for the stock clamshell hood, round fenders and quarters, and redesigned doors on the '56 pickup, with a smooth, uniform look that practically glows as ...

Matte Blue paint is the perfect complement for the stock clamshell hood, round fenders and quarters, and redesigned doors on the '56 pickup, with a smooth, uniform look that practically glows as it cruises down the street. Fit and finish are excellent, top driver-quality all around, and while it does show some very minor imperfections, with only 659 miles on the build it's exactly the kind of truck you can get in, turn the key, and drive cross-country while collecting thumbs-up gestures along the way. Note how well the big doors fit, how the big domed hood sits flush with the fenders, and the Matte Black bumpers, running boards, and badges are period-perfect touches that weren't deleted during the restoration like seen on so many F-1 builds, but rather given a whole new lease on life with that contrasting finish. Vintage company lettering on the doors adds character to the build, and the inside of the bed was finished off with gorgeous, dark-stained wood flooring and chrome rub strips that hold it all together. The chrome grille still sparkles, as do the side mirrors, windshield wipers, door handles, and glass surrounds, adding the perfect amount of bling while reinforcing the fact that nothing was overlooked in this build.

The interior is a mix of newer technology and old-fashioned hot-rodding ingenuity, working together to form a gorgeous, bespoke, and comfortable cabin that's ready for long hauls thanks to loads of modern equipment. There was obviously a lot of money spent here to get it into its current condition, and while the build is a couple years old, it looks practically new thanks to gentle care inside. The two-tone, brown-and-tan upholstery on the custom bench seat and door panels is a mixture of leather and vinyl inserts, and it was so expertly stitched you'll think twice before you hop in this cab with dusty jeans on. The materials inside look elegant yet wear like iron, and with heavy-duty brown carpets on the floors insulating the cabin from the outside world, it all ties together quite nicely with the bright blue bodywork. Modern conveniences are included such as cold R134a A/C, seatbelts, an AM/FM radio, and a leather wrapped LeCarra steering wheel mounted atop a polished Ididit tilt column. All the exposed steel inside was painted blue to match the exterior, with the smoothed dash housing an original-styled gauge bezel now filled with a comprehensive array of Dakota Digital instruments that keep a closer eye on the modern motor under the hood. Hit the road with confidence knowing you'll be comfortable inside this cab all day long.

Power in the form of a 5.0L V8 Ford means that this truck moves with genuine authority. It's a late-model, fuel-injected 302 Windsor small block borrowed from a 1987 Ford and upgraded with a BBK cold-air induction system and a set of block-hugging headers at the flanks. The big engine bay handles the swapped-in engine like it always belonged without restricting service access, and it looks right tucked back under the clamshell hood and nestled in between reworked inner fenders and a smooth firewall, all of which were painted satin black. A few dress-up parts add some flash, including polished valve covers, billet accessories, and a gloss-black engine cover, and we're delighted that the builders didn't take the easier route with a SBC transplant, opting instead to go full Ford power. With only 659 miles on the build and all the advantages of a modern drivetrain, the truck starts instantly and runs and drives like a dream, with the AOD 4-speed automatic transmission handling all that extra power with ease. Underneath, the Ford's original frame was fitted with a modern front clip with independent suspension, a big sway bar, power rack-and-pinion steering, along with power 4-wheel disc brakes at every corner and a upgraded shocks all around. The upgraded stainless steel exhaust features throaty chambered mufflers that sound downright erotic at full bore, and one look at the neatly detailed and painted undercarriage lets you know everything about the high-quality of this build. Flashy 18-inch wheels fit the truck perfectly and carry thick performance radials with plenty of tread left, finishing off the look perfectly.

Classic trucks never go out of style, and this Ford F-100 has all the right ingredients to make it as wonderful today as it was when it was first built. That also means all the bugs have been worked out and it's ready to enjoy. Call now!
