This 1987 Chevrolet C10 Silverado has been given the right investments to look stock but clean everywhere from the fuel-injected V8 to the paint. And when a pickup like this also comes with long bed utility, an overdrive transmission, and dual fuel tanks, it reminds you that a true classic pickup is still a useful friend.
This C10 has received the right respect and attention in its lifetime and it shows. You really see it everywhere from the pliable weather-stripping to the way the panels align nicely. We particularly like the full trim that continues through the door line in an almost unbroken line. It's an impressive look on a pickup that's celebrating its 35th birthday, but it's also had some help along the way. The factory-correct Gray Metallic paint has been given a quality respray to have a beautiful gloss and a radiant shine. The front chrome bumper is mirror-like, the Rally wheels have bright trim rings, and the rear HD step bumper looks like it hasn't seen heavy action. We won't say this truck is perfect because then it wouldn't be useful. Just like the exterior, the interior has an impressive stock style. Red is an attractive color, and this one is clean and complete without getting too fancy to really use. You have the best in vintage details where the driver-oriented dash showcases the Delco AM/FM radio, classic heat/defrost sliders, and the dual-spoke Chevy steering wheel on a tilt column. This is even a factory air conditioning truck, but it will need servicing to blow cold again. Besides, the sliding rear window will likely be your favorite way to get breezes flowing through the cab.
Chevy's 305 cubic-inch V8 is one of those great small blocks for all-around power. This numbers matching block even comes from the era of factory fuel injection. It has been cared for correctly, just like the rest of this truck, so you have a strong heart that fires up readily and runs great. The four-speed automatic transmission has highway-friendly overdrive, and features like cruise control and dual fuel tanks make it nice for the long haul. Add in power steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and modern Hankook tires, and this is a fine all-around driver.
A cool true classic pickup like this doesn't come around very often. So if you love a good vintage truck, don't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
