This 1969 Buick Skylark Custom is a pretty cool classic. It has an upgraded 455ci V8 for serious power. And the upgraded wheels and sleek hardtop style continue this muscle car vibe. But there's also the distinct paint, cold-blowing A/C, and premium feel that makes you want a Buick for its solid cruiser attitude.
This was arguably the best year for the Skylark's design. Swoopy sheet metal and sharp ends came together for the kind of intricate design they wouldn't dare try today. The color holds close to 1969's Olive Beige. We have a 2017 receipt for $12k showing plenty of body/paint investments. So it's a later quality application that has a smooth shine and a terrific metallic glow. Plus, we like the way the dark green vinyl top helps bring out some more of the green tones in the paint. It makes for a thoughtfully premium color combo. This has the right amount of chrome in all the right places. The brightwork on the bumper and grille surround the angular front, and in the back, the bumper helps give this coupe a wing-swept look. We also like that there is some added aggression that gives this a bit of a Grand Sport, including the large exhaust tips. And while the wheels look ... Please ask for the full description.

And while the wheels look like classic Rallye units, they are actually more modern alloys in a modern 17-inch size.
The tan interior is a nice color to complement the exterior earthy green, and so this hardtop looks great with all the windows down on this pillarless hardtop. There are nice details like the newer carpeting, classily distinct Buick steering wheel, clear gauges, and working sail panel lights. Overall, it has a good classic look in a package that you won't be afraid to enjoy. In fact, they even give you some well-integrated upgrades to make this a better cruiser. This includes cold-blowing air conditioning, a well-fitting cup holder seat console, and a retro-style AM/FM stereo that's XM and Bluetooth ready. Even the rear-view mirror is subtly upgraded to a cool camera.
This one is going to get even more Grand Sport references the moment you open the hood. The Buick's big red block has a true muscle car look, and the 455 callout on the air grabber confirms you've got the largest one they made. This big block is part of a performance build done in 2021 (a $14k investment). It includes an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, a Pertronix flame thrower distributor, and a BeCool aluminum radiator with twin electric fans. And because it's a Buick you'll also appreciate that it fires up easily, idles well, and drives out nicely - like a proper cruiser should. The TH400 three-speed automatic transmission was a later investment so that shifting remains stout but smooth. Add in power steering, power brakes, Wilwood front discs, and modern sport tires, and you've got a great anytime driving package.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, maintenance records, and service manuals. This Skylark has a classic elegance and a GS-level of power. That's what makes it a terrific hardtop that you know you need to get your hands on right now. Call today!!!
