This timeless truck is decked out in a sharp shade of red that is sure to receive lots of admiration as you cruise around town. It is a driver, so the paint reflects that and it's not out to win any big shows, but it does have great gaps and lines and the doors open and shut easily. The five panels of glass encircling the cab are nice and clear with a fresh driver side mirror in place. In back, the upper rails on the sides of the bed have been replaced and while the planks lining the bed floor could probably stand to be refinished, they look solid and straight.

The five panels of glass encircling the cab are nice and clear with a fresh driver side mirror in place. In back, the upper rails on the sides of the bed have been replaced and while the planks lining the bed floor could probably stand to be refinished, they look solid and straight.

Inside the doors, nearly everything still has the same factory look that it did when this Chevy rolled out for service more than 65 years ago. At the center is a bench seat that's been updated with plenty of padding and a black vinyl cover that blends well with its surroundings. This interior has come through its considerable lifetime in pretty strong fashion - the original steering wheel is still mounted firmly to its column, and the dash area just beyond it sits level with no missing components and original gauges that are easily readable. The original AM radio remains in place to highlight the vintage look, but a retro-style AM/FM stereo with iPod connectivity is also on board to expand your audio options, teaming with a pair of door mounted speakers. Seat belts have been installed for an added measure of safety.

The engine compartment has been spruced up and looks sharp. A period correct 216 cubic inch inline 6 sits at its center with its block and valve cover freshly painted alongside the compact air cleaner, under which is a period correct one barrel carb. The engine is in very good form, starting up promptly and running smoothly as it teams with a 4-speed manual transmission that shifts without issue. The overall driving experience this vintage truck offers is impressive - its drum brakes bring reassuring stops without pulling to one side or the other and the clutch pedal has a nice, solid feel to it. Below, a set of 16" factory wheels with chrome hubcaps that are wrapped with bias ply white wall tires provide just the right authentic appearance.

This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window is one of the most beloved of all the classic trucks and, whether or not you decide to take its already magnetic appearance to an even higher level, this truck's solid running condition means you can enjoy it right off the bat. Call today!
