This slick 1958 Chevrolet Apache 3100 pickup has obviously received a ton of time and investment. It's a comprehensive build with a custom exterior, leather-lined interior, overdrive transmission, and plenty of big block power. And it all comes together to remind you of how awesome the right custom pickup can be.
This truck immediately declares that it's something different the moment it arrives. After all, the factory never gave you a blue with this level of gloss and shine. And the hint of metallic really looks terrific in the daylight. It all brings out the crisp details of the Apache design that was only around for a few short years. In fact, there's a bit more purity in this truck's lines with custom elements like the deleted front trim, shaved door handles, and the custom flush tailgate/roll pan that give it an added uniqueness and sleekness. More than just custom, they focused on the vintage details, too. Competing with the paint for the shine is the mirror-like front bumper and intricate grille. Plus, the real wood truck bed is finished in a beautiful mahogany. And the wheels seem to bring the full package together. They have the classic Chevy Rally style, but they are ... Description
They have the classic Chevy Rally style, but they are a large 17-inch size to fit the wells better and allow for better modern tires.
The door poppers are always a cool touch, and they let you see the well-done package inside. This interior does a great job of giving you vintage style with modern upgrades. For example, the truck still has a classic bench seat. But now it's done with a comfy plushness and covered in supple leather. The dash has an attractive smooth and simple style, but it still leaves room for provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.) You'll love to slip behind the wood and chrome steering wheel. It's mounted on a tilt column to give you a nice view of the upgraded AutoMeter gauges. And the large tach mounted on top of the dash is a clear indicator that you're going to like what's under the hood.
This truck was born at the dawn of Chevy's big block V8 era, but they were never offered anything as large or powerful as what's in the engine bay right now. This is a 454 cubic-inch V8. It's built with all the best pieces, like an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer 2.0 intake, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan to help keep the full package running cool. The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission is a great pairing because it was built to handle the big block muscle, and at the same time, it gives you easy overdrive cruising. It's part of a package that was meant to be a good all-around driver. You have an upgraded Camaro front end with QA1 coilovers, and the rear has new air shocks. And there are good anytime driving features like power steering, power brakes, front discs, and the grip of modern tires.
This is the kind of fully built package that takes years of effort and investment. So if you want to skip the stress and get right to the fun of showing and driving, you need to call today!
