You can get all the workhorse features you want in a 4x4 SUV, and still not have to give up the cool vintage appearance. Best of all, this attention-grabbing 1979 Ford Bronco with premium Ranger XLT trim has a highly original presentation and a documented rarity.

You just don't see classics like this anymore. The factory-correct Medium Vaquero is an interesting color of distinction. And while people are comparing it to a southwestern prairie, you can wow them about how this shows all signs of being the original application. The Wimbledon White is expertly interwoven on the side while also coordinating with the white fiberglass roof. So it's a terrific color combo that came straight from the factory...and it's rare. We have the Marti Report that proves this full package is one of only 107 Broncos that were optioned with this paint and trim. Plus, all the brightwork on the chrome bumpers and full premium XLT Ranger side trim makes this one an instant classic. But despite a very vintage appearance, this truck still has a lot of practical daily use left in it. The full-size spare on a swing-away mount, large trailer mirrors, full trailer hitch makes this a Bronco that's ready for all ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

400 V8, 3 SPEED AUTO, P/S, P/B, A/C, FRONT DISC, RARE COLOR SCHEME, MARTI REPORT

The full-size spare on a swing-away mount, large trailer mirrors, full trailer hitch makes this a Bronco that's ready for all activities.

The interior is a terrific presentation of the 1970s-style cloth weave pattern within the sand beige seats. And just like the exterior, it all looks highly original and well-preserved. So while you can take the fiberglass hardtop off to make this a convertible 4x4, you can instantly tell from the condition of the interior that this has not spent much time exposed to the elements (if ever.) As a premium Ranger XLT trim package you get some nice wood grain appliques on the doors, steering wheel, and dash. The driver's seat is a true command position. You have a high-back bucket seat with dual armrests, a cup holder center console, and a factory wheel with fingertip cruise control buttons. The center stack has an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo, power rear window control, and provisions for R134a air conditioning (it will need servicing to blow cold again.)

Under the hood is the best option of them all. This generation Bronco was known for really upgrading the V8 power, and the Marti Report indicates this one had the best of them all. Not every Bronco of this era got the 400 cubic-inch V8, and so it's great to still have the correct displacement and an era-correct block still under the hood. In fact, the full presentation looks quite stock and well-maintained. That makes for a strong-running classic. So as preserved as this looks, it'll be hard to resist taking this one off the pavement considering. After all, it's a 4x4 with a two-speed transfer case, high ground clearance, and Goodyear Wrangler tires. And for the days you just want to go to the hardware store, the three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front all mean this Bronco can run around town with ease.

They only made this 2nd gen Bronco for two years, and you already know this one represents a rarity within this rarity. It makes for a special find when this retains its distinct and premium factory presentation. So if you want a true classic that's still truly capable, call today!
