This 1965 Ford Mustang has the cool stance of a street machine classic. So it's good that this one has upgrades like V8 power and four-on-the-floor to fully live up to the first impression this coupe makes.
The white paint sets the right tone for this car. It's basic and complete, and there just seems to be a feeling coming through the finish that gives you the vibe of a Saturday night blacktop battle. After all, this one has the intimidating forward-leaning stance that comes for those aggressively meaty rear tires. And because this is a first-year Mustang, there's also a touch of class with good-looking brightwork and nice wraparound chrome bumpers. Plus, pieces like the large dual exhaust tips and Cragar SS wheels add to both the attitude and the shine.
While the exterior wants to be a bit meaner, the interior wants to be a bit more comfortable. The full black package has a crisp and clean look including newer carpeting, a smooth dash pad, and handsome upholstery. And the way the exterior white returns on the metal parts of the door panels and dash add a timeless sense of style. And the way the exterior white returns on the metal parts of the door panels and dash add a timeless sense of style. There are some nice everyday upgrades like cup holders and an AM/FM/CD stereo with iPod input. Plus, it's a solid driver's setup with front bucket seats, an armrest center console in-between, a sports steering wheel, and a Hurst Indy floor shifter.
This was born a six-cylinder car, but today you have been upgraded to a hardy 289 cubic-inch V8. It looks bolder with the ribbed Cobra valve covers and matching Mustang air grabber. More importantly, it inhales deeper thanks to an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor and Edelbrock intake. It's a strong-running motor and you get to take full advantage of it all thanks to the four-speed manual transmission. As a true street machine, this one wants you to be in touch with the road, but they also did upgrade it to front disc brakes.
There are upgrades that you may decide you want to do later to this one like update the suspension or the paint. But overall there is a solid appeal here of a value-priced icon that has been given the right upgrades to be a truly distinctive Mustang. So if you want to have a coupe that has the true look of a galloping pony, call today!
