We call this a 1962 car because that's what the style is, but the technology, power, and amenities are all part of the modern appeal. That's because this is a Chevrolet Corvette built by Classic Reflection Coachworks. So, while you're enjoying the performance of a modern fuel-injected LS V8, fully independent suspension, and the comfort of leather-clad A/C interior, you'll also be turning heads with a bold blue drop-top with huge vintage appeal.
This has the right recipe for an awesome restomod. This started life as a 2003 Corvette, and the second owner of this low-mileage two-owner car took it to Classic Reflection Coachworks. It was a $48k+ build to have one of their few hand-built conversions. But the results are absolutely worth it. CRC chose the final year for the C1 Corvette as a target style, and that means the body retains the iconic design lines that made the Corvette truly America's sports car, but the sleekest possible style. That means design elements, like the smooth hood, ducktail rear, and a wide grille that looks like it wants to inhale lesser sports cars. Like any good '60s machine, there was plenty of brightwork. Description
You have classic/cool pieces, like the intricate form-fitting split bumpers. And there are also more modern pieces, like the shining quad exhaust tips and polished C5 alloys. CRC also gave the car a respray in its factory-correct Electron Blue, and that seems like the perfect complement. It has a huge luster that really lets these classic curves pop in the sunshine, and the modern color makes sure that everyone knows this drop-top is something extra special.
The interior starts to reveal how modern this car really is. It's pure C5 Corvette, and that's a good thing. After all, that means you have a loaded car with all the best comforts. This includes dual-zone automatic A/C climate control, power windows, power locks, keyless entry/alarm, cruise control, dual airbags, ABS, and an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bose speakers. A power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, tilt column, and full gauges remind you that the driver is always a priority. And this even has the desirable head-up display option. All of this looks good today because you have such a low mileage machine. And in fact, they still made it fresher with over $3,800 invested in places like newer carpeting and seat covers. And speaking of those seats, you'll see they have a gold-like trim. It's a subtle reminder that 2003 was the Corvette's golden anniversary, and so it just seems extra cool that one would be used for retro duty.
The engine bay has the clean look of a well-maintained and low-mileage car. The upgrading by CRC not only gives you a tasteful full silver presentation, but it also has a special K&N dual intake. Even before better breathing, the 5.7-liter LS1 was impressive. The fuel-injected motor was part of a new era of Corvette horsepower. But a car this interesting really wants to be an all-around good cruiser. So you have the four-speed automatic transmission that's quick for performance kick-downs and slips into overdrive comfort with ease. Add in power steering, four-wheel power disc brakes, and Goodyear Eagle F1 tires, and this has a classic look but modern moves.
The sale comes complete with build receipts and maintenance records. This is the ideal mix of vintage flair and modern performance. And you know how rarely these CRC conversions come up for sale. So don't miss your chance, call today!
