HIGH-END CUSTOM, BIG BLOCK 496, TREMEC 5-SPD, A/C, BUILD RCPTS, VRY RECENT BUILD

With its huge 620 horsepower V8, road-hugging custom suspension, and huge intimidation factor, you'd expect this 1968 Chevrolet Camaro to be a wild and raucous custom build. But you might feel differently while sitting comfortably in the custom interior with the cold A/C blowing. Yes, this is the best of everything!

There's just something about a Hugger Orange Camaro. It's bold enough to warn others on the street to 'don't mess with me' and it just seems to be a beacon at car shows. This one is particularly nice because the color has been applied more recently with a very professional hand. Even the dual stripe package was painted on instead of decals, so they will stay straight and trouble free. This one features the best aggressive elements of the first generation Camaro, like the cowl induction hood, deep chin spoiler, and full-width spoiler. But it's also instantly recognizable as something far wickeder with its clear headlights, exterior-mounted gauges, and huge Boze ZE-series wheels.

Step inside, and this Camaro provides one of the coolest blends of premium and performance around. It starts with a set of modern high-back bucket seats that have the right amount of bolstering ... Please ask for the full description.

It starts with a set of modern high-back bucket seats that have the right amount of bolstering to keep you planted when the road gets twisty. In-between in an armrest center console that carries cup holders, a USB charger, trunk release, and controls for the power windows. Plus, there's keyless entry, push-button ignition, power locks, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit with iPod connection and full Kenwood speaker package. And just to make sure this cool Camaro actually keeps you cool, there's modern R134a air conditioning. But from the moment you slip behind the Grant sports steering wheel, you instantly know this classic's real focus is on speed. Beyond the wheel and Flaming River tilt column is a large vintage-style AutoMeter speedo and tach. And the important auxiliary gauges have been custom mounted at eye-level on the A-pillar and exterior hood. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?

The big 496 cubic-inch V8 is something you'll love to show off. According to the consignor, this was rebuilt less than 500 miles ago, and that's why it looks so fresh under the hood. Dark black fender walls help draw attention to all the polished elements like the fabricated valve covers, bracer bars, long air topper, master cylinder, hood hinges, pulleys, and so much more. But more than look great, this motor was built for muscle. There are go-fast goodies like a Quick Fuel 850 CFM four-barrel carburetor, Professional Products Hurricane inake, MSD ignition, and Hooker long tube headers. The consignor rates the full pacakge at 620 hp and 580 lb/ft of torque, and you better believe the three-inch H-pipe dual exhaust announces this power superiority with a growl. You have full control over the big V8 and its thunderous soundtrack thanks to a Tremec TKO 600 five-speed backed by a Lakewood bellhousing. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear end with a true track posi and a 3.73 gears for powerful takeoffs. The right suspension upgrades are needed to take full advantage of this powerful package, and so the front end is now a Detroit Speed tubular A-arm setup. The rear end has been upgraded to a strong four-link with a thick sway bar, Koni shocks, and tubbed to accept wider rear rubber. Plus, the Aerospace Components four-wheel disc brake package is second to none, including the electronic brake booster. capable of 2,500 lbs along with the adjustable valve. But as mean as this one is, it also has great driving features like power steering. There's even a Ron Davis HD aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans to keep it all cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping.

We have a huge stack of build receipts documenting the time, funds, and superior components that went into this build. This is the ultimate street and strip Camaro, so if you're ready to be memorable, this one is ready for you. Call today!!!
