Subtle upgrades seem to be the total theme of the interior. Another example is the radio. It's such an integral part of the full presentation of the dash that it was wisely left on display. This Thunderbird originally came with a 352 cubic-inch V8. That's a fine motor, but there's no replacement for displacement. So it's nice to have an upgraded 390. The engine bay looks like a nicely coordinated effort with the full black presentation – including the air topper and new hoses – that really lets the blue block radiate with power. On the road, it floats down the boulevard like a true vintage luxury coupe should. This is aided by the right features such as the three-speed automatic transmission, power brakes, and power steering.
