Description

CLEAN BUILD, MONSTER, 565 V8, 800+ HP, BUILT TH400 W/ TB, GR8 4 DRAG & DRIVE EVENTS, CERT 8.5 CAGE!

Like with people, muscle comes in various levels for cars. Sure, your average weekend gym warrior may be able to do lots of pushups every seven days or so. Still, he doesn't hold a candle next to a professional bodybuilder who has dedicated his life to becoming the very best in his sport. This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute Pro Street is the Mr. Olympia of muscle cars. With 25 years of ownership, this monster has been babied to make it into the ultimate street and strip car. Euro Black PPG stripes complement its aptly named Adrenaline Red exterior to give this car a true head-turning shine, and the parachute mounted in the back lets everyone know that it's best just to admire this beast, not to poke it.

Unlike most Pro Street racers, inside, you'll be amazed not to find a stripped-down, bare-bones layout. Instead, this car has an Ultra Leather custom interior by James Pharr. The custom flow-through console extends to the rear passengers, where you'll find a set of dual cup holders. Five-point front and four-point rear seat belts work in conjunction with the roll cage to keep everyone safe on the ride of their life, while a set of digital AEM gauges keeps track of important info, and an RBZ Billet steering wheel adds the perfect matching touch to a stellar cockpit.

Pop the hood, and the Adrenaline Red painted engine bay will be the second thing you notice once you can pull your gaze away from the behemoth heart of this monster staring back at you. A high-torque 136-tooth race starter ignites this massive 565 cubic-inch big block V-8 saddled with Brodix aluminum heads, a Crane cam, and a single APD four-barrel carb pumping 1,150 CFM in a high-rise manifold. A Magnaflow 500 fuel pump and regulator siphons fuel through a modified stock tank with an internal sump, while a set of Hooker long tube headers sends spent gasses through a three-inch Jet Hot coated full exhaust and out through a MagnaFlow muffler. Check the dyno sheet, and you'll find a peak of 867 hp and 745 lb-ft of torque on pump gas.
That stupid amount of power gets sent through a built TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, complete with a manual valve body, Rogers Automotive trans brake, and reverse shift pattern. An Auto Meter Digital Pro Shift System uses a heads-up display-style readout mounted on the hood to help you trap your best passes.

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS Tribute Pro Street sits on a custom suspension created to keep everything as controlled as possible. Up front, we find a set of Detroit Speed control arms and Viking double adjustable shocks, while out back sits a set of Caltrac leaf springs and bars with a set of adjustable QA1 shocks. A Moser nine-inch rear uses a 3.89-gear with matching Moser aluminum center 35-spline axles. Fifteen-inch RC Component racing wheels use a dual bead-lock in the back to keep the rubber from shredding entirely off the rim under the immense power of this V-8 nightmare. A set of Wilwood disc brakes at both the front and rear do their best to reign in all that power, with some help from the parachute above. Built to be the most excellent race/street car ever, we congratulate the consignor on a well-done job. And now is your chance to own a quarter-century's worth of work and dedication. Much like Arnold in his prime, when this car decides to flex, everything else drastically pales in comparison. Call today!
