The fuel-injected 6.2-liter LS3 V8 looming beneath the hood packs quite a punch - it's rated at 430 horsepower and 424 pound-feet of torque - and it sits in a nicely maintained engine bay. The engine pairs with a smooth shifting 6-speed automatic 6l80e transmission, and the combination yields excellent acceleration - this was the quickest production automatic Corvette when it was released. For a more "hands on" driving experience, you'll also find a pair of paddle shifters on the steering column. Step into the accelerator and you'll hear a great exhaust note that comes via the added Borla exhaust and when it comes time to bring things to a stop, there are anti-lock power disc brakes at the corners. A peek at the underside will reveal that this low-slung performer hasn't accidentally run aground during its travels.
