DESIRABLE BODY STYLE, 35,813 ACTUAL MILES, SURVIVOR, 4.2L INLINE-6, 4SPD TRANS!!

This car is everything you want in a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Series II coupe. It has an interesting color, great options, and the original motor. And this is a well-documented true survivor that is being offered for the first time outside of the original family in its over half-century history!

The E-Type (ok, XKE if you stick to the USA designation) is the icon that tops many lists of the most beautiful cars ever produced. Jaguar wanted to utilize the strength of the racing-inspired monocoque chassis. Today you can see that on this example that remains quite exceptional, right down to doors you can still shut with authority. The reason why this one is so well preserved is that it has been treated like an heirloom. The consignor's great uncle purchased this car new only about an hour from our showroom. And the low odometer on this desirable southern car even represents the actual mileage. It's a true survivor that has only been maintained to make sure it can always be enjoyed. With this kind of lineage, we love the Willow Green paint. The color captures the era perfectly, and this shows all signs of being the original application. It has an aged appearance that will get people asking ... Please ask for the full description.

It has an aged appearance that will get people asking about its unique history, and so while such a complete E-Type is always great for restoration candidates, it's hard to recommend changing a thing. After all, it's a desirable Series II car that comes with all those delicate touches that made it an icon - the petite oval opening at the front, thin chrome bumpers that hug the body, and wire wheels with genuine center hubs. This one lets you appreciate all of that so much more because this one has earned respect.

The coupe has one of the best wind-cheating designs around, and it also makes it quite nice for the grand tour. An airy cabin and a wide door for the cargo area make this ready for the grand tour (so just think about all those survivor shows you want to attend.) Aside from the seat upholstery, you'll be hard-pressed to find anything replaced. This includes details like the AM/FM radio and dome light that greets you when the doors open. It even has provisions for air conditioning (it will likely need servicing and a compressor belt to restore the function.) And of course, this Jaguar loves to keep you focused on the road. It feels great when you grab the iconic wood-rimmed steering wheel, and the column is adjustable for the ideal position. Beyond this is a full set of Smiths gauges to keep you focused on those trips down the backroads.

Tilt the clamshell hood (bonnet) forward, and check out this Jag's original motor. For drivers, the Series II cars are really the ones to own. The larger 4.2-liter inline-six provides deep reserves of torque that are very friendly for U.S. roads, and the recently rebuilt dual SU carburetors keep this a ready powerhouse. In fact, because this one is all about being both a survivor and a driver, that's why there have been other recent investments in components like the coil, fuel pump, fuel filter, and water pump. The suspension is an unsurpassed combination of handling and ride comfort and the E-Type benefits from the innovative independent rear suspension with inboard disc brakes for reduced unsprung mass. The dual exhaust system sounds spectacular, and the four-speed manual transmission puts you in the center of it all.

This has a terrific paperwork file that includes the original bill of sale, previous registration cards, maintenance records from over the years, and the original owner's manual. You know how valuable a numbers-matching true survivor XKE is worth. That's why you know how good a deal this one is and how quick you're going to need to be to grab it. Call now!
