This 1993 Land Rover Defender 90 is unique in all the best ways. It has the classic style you love and there's even turbodiesel power to really let you enjoy the 4x4 lifestyle to the fullest. But as you look at the sleek paint, clean interior, and upgrades like the LED headlights, you can see that this was restored to also be one of the cleanest examples of this icon you'll ever find.
The creamy white color sets the tone nicely for this Defender. After all, plenty of these have seen hard times in muck and mire, but we're told there was a recent solid restoration investment in this one, and it certainly looks the part. The clean white paint has a glossy finish that makes this one feel quite close to being fresh off the boat from Britain. And the black elements have a clean contrast with the grille, bumper, side mirrors, and fender flares. There are nice classic details, including the mount for a tire on the hood and gen 1 Range Rover-style wheels. Description
But there are also handy upgrades like the proper tow ball hitch and the LED headlight that light the way forward better. So this one does a good job of having the right investments to look premium without ever jeopardizing it's rugger go-anywhere style.
The restoration also means a well-done interior. You have nicely done bucket seats up front with a handy jump seat in-between. The robust rubber floor, meaty steering wheel, and a dash with cubbies for your tools all remind you that this one is built for stout use. And that's handy no matter if you're working on the farm or coming from a day at the beach. The usefulness continues in the rear with the versatile wide-swinging door and tall hardtop roof with plenty of windows. So you can securely carry big cargo back there. In fact, with how light and clean that open area is, we bet you're also thinking about using this Defender as a way to showcase some products from your business. The history of this one is quite interesting. A few Defender 90s officially trickled into the USA in 1993, but this is not one of them. You know that by the KM/H speedometer and because of what's in the engine bay.
The 2.5-liter turbodiesel under the hood is a powerhouse that was never offered in the USA, but when you want the best in torque, you know it's the one to have. It only gets better when the motor was given a recent tune-up and compression test as part of the restoration investment. This powerplant has earned a tough-as-nails reputation from the Scottish Highlands to Gibraltar, and because this has been a long-standing British motor, the parts are also widely available. The five-speed manual transmission is the ideal pairing to give you full control over the diesel torque. The high ground clearance and two-speed 4x4 transfer case assure that you can keep going even when the trail ends. But there's more to this Defender. The power steering, power brakes, and front discs remind you that go-anywhere also means being easy to drive down Main Street.
It's going to be hard to find a classic Land Rover that's this clean, capable, and all-around interesting. That's why you know it's irresistible. Call today!!!
