RECENT RESTO, 1700CC FLAT-4, 4SPD TRANS, RUN/DRIVE GR8, CLEAN & TASTEFUL UPGADES

An enduring icon on the outside and a custom comfy cabin on the inside: this 1974 Volkswagen Bus has been restored and customized with all the right comforts to be the counter-culture classic you've dreamed about. And it's available today at an exceptional price.

This VW Type 2 (AKA, Bus) has a terrific story of being a barn find that was given a proper restoration. The two-tone turquoise and white is the kind of color you'd expect from the factory in the 60s and 70s, but it has the telltale deep luster of a recent investment in a modern application. More than just a two-tone, the colors are intertwined nicely as the white bumpers and steel wheels complement the roof section. VW would call these station wagons, but the distinctive shape earned these a “breadvan” nickname for how they maximized every inch of the wheelbase. It gives them the space to be great travelers, and so you can just imagine collecting stickers for the back window telling people all the places you've been.

The bright white continues when you open the door, and now it's joined by a tasteful gray. This is such a fresh presentation on the door panels and seats, that you'll just want to get in and head for the ... Please ask for the full description.

VW would call these station wagons, but the distinctive shape earned these a "breadvan" nickname for how they maximized every inch of the wheelbase. It gives them the space to be great travelers, and so you can just imagine collecting stickers for the back window telling people all the places you've been.

The bright white continues when you open the door, and now it's joined by a tasteful gray. This is such a fresh presentation on the door panels and seats, that you'll just want to get in and head for the coast. The driver gets all the right comforts with a bucket seat, large steering wheel, and a gearshift within easy reach. There's even a nice AM/FM/CD stereo upgrade that has Bluetooth and a USB port to charge your phone. But the true luxuries are all behind this. The seating is a full custom package that has all the appeal of a wraparound couch. And the white and gray upholstery coordinates nicely with the wood-like laminate floor. So everywhere you park this VW, it can be as comfortable as your living room.

The engine is Volkswagen's famous flat-four unit. It's believed to be original to the vehicle, and it even has a crisp look, right down to the proper decals. While you already know how virtually bulletproof that powerplant is, you'll love to know this 1700cc unit was also rebuilt 2013. So it's a strong and smooth engine that has the classic air-cooled sound. The four-speed manual transmission has a crisp action that allows you to take full control of the motor, and stopping is even well in-hand thanks to a front disc brake upgrade.

Complete with restoration photos, this has that clean look of quality you want in VW of distinction. So at a price like this, you know this is a deal that will be moving quickly. Call now!
