VERY SHARP COUPE! BLUEPRINT 347 STROKER V8, 5 SPD MANUAL, DISC BRAKES, FUN RIDE!

Take one classic early Ford Mustang, in this case a 1966 coupe, add bright red paint and a beautiful black interior, plus one thumping 347 cubic inch Stroker V8 with a 5-speed manual gearbox, and you get the world's most beloved pony car. And despite their soaring popularity, slick Mustang Ponys like this one remain extremely affordable ways to own A-list rides.

Repainted in what appears like a more lustrous Signal Flare Red, this handsome coupe looks like a million bucks banging down the road. With sign of a life lived easy throughout, the familiar Mustang sheetmetal is crisp and sharp thanks to expert restoration work. They built a lot of Mustangs, most of them coupes just like this, but that doesn't mean they're not handsome, timeless cars, and except for perhaps a Corvette or a Porsche 911, there aren't many cars that are more recognizable around the world. This one has been dressed up with black rocker panel stripes with '347' decals, and shiny chrome on the bumpers and wheels, it's nicely detailed in the way you'd want your Mustang to look. It's not a fake GT, not dressed up like some Shelby wanna-be, just a clean, driver-quality coupe that totally nails the factory look with a little extra flash. The result is cheerful and appropriate, making this a car you'll be proud to show at your local car show because it fits together so well.

A handsome black interior is a very desirable spec, and it's authentically restored with great detailing and attention to the little things. Look how neatly the seat covers fit, with just the right amount of padding underneath to create a supportive seat that doesn't look over-stuffed. Crisply marked factory gauges are all fully functional, and they're augmented by a set of auxiliary gauges under the dash and a tachometer strapped to the column, and the original AM radio still lives in the dash, which is an increasingly rare find. There's a 5-speed shifter sticking out of the transmission tunnel inside a custom center console, so you know this neat coupe means business, and the Hurst cue ball that tops it falls perfectly into the hand. Add in a fat wood-rimmed steering wheel with a slick chrome center, correct black door panels, and a taut headliner, and it's hard to see how anyone could come out right-side-up financially with a sticker price like this. Interiors this nice are EXPENSIVE. The trunk also features a carpeted mat and enough room for all your car show goodies.

And this isn't just some 6-cylinder beater, either. For that price, you're getting a legitimate Blueprint 347 stroker V8 that's rated at 416 horsepower. Built tough and ready to rock, it features 10:1 compression, a custom grind cam, Blueprint aluminum heads, and it breathes through a Holley 4-barrel carb atop a polished Edelbrock aluminum intake. Someone took the time to do it right, as the engine itself is clean as can be inside the satin black bay, and it also features an open-element air cleaner assembly, a set of chrome valve covers, and bright red plug wires and shock tower bushing that really pop. There's an aluminum radiator up front to keep the powerful small block nice and cool, and it spins to life easily with a nice bark from the long-tube headers fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system. The 5-speed clicks through the gears with authority thanks to a Ford Racing clutch, and 3.00 gears out back make it an excellent highway cruiser. Underneath it's been augmented with a set of subframe connectors that make a noticeable difference in how the car feels on the road, and there's a newer gas tank hanging out back. Chrome Ridler wheels look awesome, especially wrapped in fresh 235/45/17 front and 245/45/17 rear performance radials.

This car gets almost everything right: look, sound, and feel. If you want one of the last truly affordable early Mustangs that need zero fixing-up, this Mustang is a shocking bargain. Call today!
