The special 2008 Ford Mustang Speedster combines 430 hp with a cool droptop appearance. So it's a complete custom head-turner that can blow the doors off of anything else for the money.

This is #33 of an extremely limited run of 100 cars (and it's actually even more rare, but more on that in a moment.) So it has always been treated with the care and respect an exceptional pony deserves. The Performance White paint look great, and it's perfectly matched with four-piece aero body kit that includes the Roush front fascia and rear wing. But as much as the pristine paint makes this look like an upstanding citizen, there is a darker side to this hero that you instantly see from every angle. In front there's the black high flow grille, and in the rear there's the Speedster center cap and special dark tinted taillights. Plus, the profile has the black folding roof, and those sinister 18-inch Roush cast wheels catch all the light. The final touches of aggression come courtesy of the bright orange that runs up the hood to highlight the "Roushcharged" scoop, and the custom speedster side graphics that help bring out the caliper color behind those midnight wheels. So yes, this is unmistakably a Mustang, but one that will never be mistaken for any production on the road.

This one is specialty on the outside, and loaded on the inside. It comes with keyless entry, power windows, power locks, power steering, cruise control, tilt steering wheel, ABS, and dual & side airbags. The Shaker 1000 AM/FM/CD/AUX stereo is so good that you can hear your tunes even with the top down at higher than legal speeds. You can even stay cool in this hot pony with modern ice-cold air conditioning. But all of that comes from the Mustang's premium catalog. Buying the limited edition Speedster is really about cool additions such as the carbon fiber inserts, auxiliary readouts (including boost pressure) along the A-pillar, and the optional white-faced gauges. Your seating has now been upgraded to power buckets with the custom embroidered suede inserts. There's even a roll bar for added rigidity and an extra reminder to others that your drop top is king. Jack Roush even signed the passenger side dashboard!

While this Mustang looks amazing inside and out, it's the full mechanical upgrade that will make you fall in lust. Ford's excellent OHC 4.6-liter V8 has been supercharged, and that brings the rarity of this Speedester likely down to 1 of 60. Yes, they call it "Roushcharged" but we can forgive them for that because they really know how to put a stellar package together. The motor is rated at 430hp/400lb-ft (that's why they custom airbrushed flames in the engine compartment! Yes, stock pieces come with the car if you want to go back.) and we even have the dyno sheet that proves there's 354hp coming off the rear wheels. This kind of power needs the best control. That's why the package also comes with Roush lowering springs, jounce bumpers, and super-sticky Cooper ZR rated tires. Add this to great driving features like the power steering, five-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive, and four-wheel disc brakes, and you can see how this is truly a great anytime/anywhere performance machine.
