The coupe was a very popular body style in the '30s and '40s when travelling salesmen would crisscross the country showcasing their wares, which they carried with them. This version has a back seat, so it was a bit more practical for the man who had a family, and you can't argue that it doesn't look great. Of course, from the outside both versions of the coupe looked identical, and they were quite handsome with great proportions. The guys who built this one left the stock sheetmetal alone, and the forward-canted B-pillar on this one suggests speed, while the neatly integrated fenders extended into the doors for cutting-edge post-war style. The steel was straightened and finished to a very high level before being covered with beautiful metallic light green paint, which is an unusual choice that works surprisingly well.
