Big block Dodges are always in demand. That's why this 1966 Dodge Coronet 500 with its meaner attitude is so alluring. With its freshly rebuilt 440 V8 and bright red style with dark accents, it has a street-eating presence - and that's what Mopar muscle is all about.
The red paint is an update later in life. It retains a good gloss and crisp sheet metal, so you can see the well-chiseled lines that make the Chrysler B-bodies of this era so handsome. The subtle dip in the hood that pools at the front; the sweeping sides that have a hint of kick-up behind the door; and a wide/flat rear that looks like the air just slips off the back - it's all part of the clean lines that defined 1960s design. But this one goes for a bit more. There is an attitude in red, and that's turned up a notch with the mean blackout on the front and rear. And while those new Torq Thrust wheels shine as bright as the rechromed bumpers, we bet what you really noticed along the sides were those wicked side pipes.
The black interior has more of that muscle car feeling. But you'll also appreciate a clean and comfortable package that makes it easy to carry family and friends in the large interior. If you're a fan of ... Please ask for the full description.

If you're a fan of vintage style, you'll appreciate the overall presentation, right down to the texture on the dash. This was even a factory A/C car with vents (it will need components and servicing to function again.) And it's a true driver's setup with front bucket seats, a center console in-between, and an upgraded sports steering wheel. So you'll love rolling down all the windows on this pillarless hardtop and going for a drive. And those side pipes are at the perfect placement to really let you hear the growl.
The engine bay has a clean look to it, and that's for a very good reason. We're told there's only about 200 miles on this motor since it was rebuilt. And not only is it fresh, but it's also irresistibly strong. This is Mopar's mighty 440 cubic-inch V8. It inhales deeply with a Holley four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with added power and authority as Hooker headers feed the dual exhaust. You'll also spot good supporting components everywhere from the aluminum radiator to the Milodon oil pan. The Torqueflite three-speed automatic transmission was said to have been rebuilt at the same time as the motor to be both stout and smooth. Plus, there's power steering, power brakes, front discs, and new wide Cooper Cobra tires.
This is a serious muscle machine, and with the exhaust already routed through the side... so we bet you're thinking about all the upgrades you can do to the rear end. Don't let this devilishly red Coronet slip away. Call today!!!
