It's a great color that looks sophisticated while also hiding some of the signs of inevitable fun.
This Jeep comes with multiple configurations with full metal doors, a soft top, and soft doors. Of course, the most fun is when you are as open to the world as possible. There's even a bikini top for those times you want to keep a little sunshine off your shoulders. This one looks particularly nice when it's fully open because then you get to see cool details, like the full custom roll cage and how the maroon upholstery coordinates with the maroon Renegade decals. You'll also appreciate outdoor life details, like the fully Rhino-lined floors and the lockbox center console. Plus, you have nice all-around upgrades like the cup holders, a CB radio, an AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth, and stereo speakers with subwoofer.
Under the hood is a 4.2-liter inline-six motor. It's a long-established powerplant for Jeep, and in fact, it lasted into the Chrysler era. So when this replacement motor was installed about 40k miles ago, it was also upgraded with a Mopar fuel-injection system. It's part of the investment that came from long-term ownership (15 years), and so there have been plenty spent in making this quite a capable and hardy machine. This includes newer pieces like the clutch for the five-speed, transmission seals, transfer case seals, rear main seal, and oil pan gasket. On the trail, you've got stout 4x4 components like the Dana 300 transfer case, Dana 44 front axle with ARB locker, and TruTrac locker. In fact, that rear end paired with the 4.56 gears makes for great low-end torque. There are also newer Fox Rubicon shocks, Rancho steering stabilizer, Warn premium hubs, and Cooper Discoverer STT tires. And this go-anywhere machine has good anytime features, too, like power steering, power brakes, and front discs.
