TRUE RS, CORRECT 327, 4 SPEED, ORIGINAL COLORS, A+++ PAINT, CLASSIC BUILD, NICE!

America's love affair with the F-body began in 1967, and while Chevy might have been a few years late to the party, there's no denying that the Camaro brought the house down. This spectacular 1967 Camaro RS is a recent restoration to extremely high standards, but given the fun of the cackling small block and a 4-speed, it's going to be pretty hard to resist taking it out for a spin.

All signs point to this being a real-deal code 3L RS, complete with hidden headlights and the unique rear end treatment that makes them stand out. Finished in its original code R Bolero Red, it has that classic Camaro look that we almost never see in today's resto-mod world. No modifications, no deviations from stock, just impeccable workmanship that looks great even up close. Good gaps, super straight bodywork, and a finish that was wet-sanded and buffed to an incredible shine before it was all put back together. The black vinyl roof adds a bit of contrast that makes up for the lack of stripes, and there are no signs of trouble underneath, which would be highly irregular on a car of this caliber. Chrome bumpers, including the original large bumper guards, look bright against the red paint and the stainless ... Please ask for the full description.

Chrome bumpers, including the original large bumper guards, look bright against the red paint and the stainless trim has been polished to look almost like chrome. This is a really nicely finished Camaro.

Code 741-Z means red bucket seats without headrests, so that's what went back into the car when it was time for reassembly. The red really pops, and it appears that every single soft part inside this car has been replaced with a high-quality reproduction, including seat covers, door panels, dash pad, and the carpets. A center console is a highly desirable option and it has been fitted with auxiliary gauges just ahead of the Hurst shifter. The in-dash gauges were beautifully restored, keeping the soft green cast to the lettering but giving them a razor-sharp look behind crystal clear lenses. The only real deviation from original equipment is a later AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit, but if you're going to drive this car, it'll be a welcome upgrade. The trunk is fully finished with a reproduction mat and correct bias-ply spare tire with complete jack assembly.

Code 4P on the cowl tag suggests that this car packs an L48 327 cubic inch V8. GM was kind of haphazard about "matching numbers" in 1967, so we can't document that it's the original engine, but there's no doubt that it's correct. Highly detailed and fully rebuilt, it looks brilliant in its shiny coat of Chevy Orange paint. Correct decals, finishes, and components were used throughout, and save for the heavy-duty aluminum radiator, it's ready to show. Even the battery was treated to a clever disguise to make it look authentic. A Muncie 4-speed lives behind it with a 10-bolt out back, so the powertrain is proven and reliable, even if you like to mash the loud pedal now and then. And quite truthfully, the first-generation Camaro with a small block is truly a delight to drive; light, quick, agile, it's everything you'd hope for in an early pony car. A custom Magnaflow exhaust system gives it a brilliant soundtrack, and as you can see, there was a lot of effort spent on the underside as well. Restored Rally wheels carry 205/70/14 BFGoodrich redline radials that add the perfect finishing touch.

Yes, we like this car a lot. A very high-quality restoration combined with a dedication to authenticity makes for one of our favorite early Camaros. Call today!
