A good rat rod is all about a speedy build with a craftsman's touch. So not only is it cool that this 1941 Ford Pickup has the proper rat rod treatment, but also the supercharged V8 and four-wheel disc brakes makes sure it lives up to the driving experience, too.
Rat rod culture is rooted with hot rods. So this one has the right look with the open engine bay, deleted trim, and chopped & channeled cab. The matte black has a true mean attitude that isn't afraid to do battle on the streets, and the flame-style skulls on the doors emphasizes that feeling. There's even thoughtfully coordinated style done in the rat rod way. The bold red firewall looks good with the rustic red paint accenting the cab. And they both go with the 15-inch red steel wheels. These look good with their two-piece trim and extra wide rear set to show were the rubber meets the road.
There's a ton more red awaiting you inside. While a rat rod can often be give you nothing but a cold steel interior, this one upgrades you in the right ways. For example, the industrial-style carpeting on the doors and floor have the right look while also giving you better insulation, and there's even sound padding on the roof. The bench seat is pure hot rod cool with its two-tone style and tuck & roll insert. The tall Lokar shifter, sports steering wheel, and full gauge package can be considered rat rod luxuries, and they are also very welcomed here.
This engine was made to be on display. The 350 cubic-inch block was painted black to match the body, and the inserts on the air grabber go with the red accents. Of course, what everyone will really be pointing out is the Edelbrock 1559 supercharger that's force-feeding this V8. Plus, it has more great performance pieces, like the Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, MSD coil, and Patriot headers feeding the growling side exhaust. And while a rat rod is supposed to be made from spare parts, you can really see that there are a ton of quality components here, including the serpentine belt system, electric fan, steel braided lines, AN fittings, a fuel cell in the truck bed. This has good driving features, like a three-speed automatic transmission, and the Wizard Steer Clear steering box allows for proper road feel without intruding on the engine bay. Plus, there's firm stopping power in this supercharged machine with four-wheel disc brakes.
This is the build that has a true rat rod style and power while also offering you the right well-placed extras. Call today!!!
