STRONG RUNNING 302 V8 WITH AUTO TRANS, COOL PAINT WITH SHELBY STYLE STRIPES

And now for something a little different. Blending a bit of Shelby styling, a Trans-Am road race attitude, and plenty of performance, this 1967 Mustang coupe was definitely built to drive and has an extensive list of upgrades to make it enjoyable no matter what you decide to do.

Clean, simple, and brutal, the often overlooked coupe takes on a whole new image with this build. The lightweight coupe always makes for a great performance car, so these guys took one and gave it a full makeover that keeps everything great about the Mustang design and just enhances it a bit. Shelby-style stripes were added to make intimidation a real factor and the hood is fitted with locking pins to give it that '60s performance vibe. Then it was covered in anthracite paint designed to be stealthy but attention-grabbing. Even the taillights got an upgrade with blacked-out trim pieces just for effect. Shaved trim keeps it looking slippery, and the ultra-straight bodywork needs no spoilers or wings to make its statement.

The black interior is largely stock and mostly new. Seat covers, carpets, headliner, handles, bezels, and a lot of the little components were replaced a few years ago and still look quite good. ... Please ask for the full description.

Those fresh lenses and bezels really dress up the factory gauges, which look great through the spokes of the fat 4-spoke steering wheel. And while this pony was built for speed, it doesn't sacrifice a few creature comforts, including a great-sounding AM/FM/CD stereo with speakers in the kick panels and rear package shelf. Auxiliary gauges under the dash take care of monitoring the engine and heavy-duty floor mats protect the carpets, so don't be afraid to get in and drive. The trunk could probably use a new mat just to clean things up a bit, but at least it comes with a full-sized spare tire and wheel assembly, just in case.

At the race shop, we used to say that we can get our small block car around the track faster than your big block car, and the stout 302 cubic inch V8 in this Mustang proves the point. Detailed with a satin black Ford Racing dress-up kit, it's fortified with a performance intake manifold and matching 4-barrel carburetor, plus long-tube headers that sound magnificent. Bright red ignition wires work quite well with the overall paint scheme and the combination Monte Carlo bar and export brace make the front end feel considerably more rigid. The small block V8 is backed by a quick-shifting C4 3-speed automatic transmission feeding a set of relatively sedate 2.80 gears out back, so obviously top speed and cruising comfort are priorities. The suspension is augmented with a fat front sway bar and traction bars out back, while the cackling exhaust system ends in polished chrome tips under the rear valence. Gorgeous 17-inch late-model Mustang wheels look a lot like vintage Torque Thrusts and wear contemporary 235/55/17 Pirelli rubber.

This cool 1967 coupe puts a fresh spin on an old favorite, providing just the right mix of performance, comfort, and aggressive good looks. Call today!
