If you like old pickup trucks, and if you like the Patina paint jobs that are becoming so popular, then you will love this truck. These 3100s have been desirable for a while now. They are getting harder to find and are becoming more collectable every day. If you want to see what the gold standard of a dirt and grunge Patina paint job looks like, then look no further. Check this one out.
It just doesn't get any better than this. You would think that it was just hauled out of a barn after a hard life and put back on the road. (Except those Boss alloy wheels and the sharp looking grill kind of give the game away). The thing about these paint jobs that are full of bumps and dings and scratches and rust, is that they are each totally unique. Nobody else will have a truck exactly like this one. And that is what's commonly called, an understatement. From the pitted hood ornament to the bullet holes in the tailgate, and from the faded lettering on the doors to the weathered and broken bed rails, it looks like this truck earned every scrape and scar and bit of oxidation. A jerry can, cooler and old-school tool box in the bed add to the look while the “Rustina” that is lettered in the back ... Please ask for the full description.

A jerry can, cooler and old-school tool box in the bed add to the look while the "Rustina" that is lettered in the back window seems to be a family name for the old girl.
When you open the door, the first thing you see will be the inner door panel looking exactly the way you would expect based on the looks of the outside of the truck. There is some true body color because it wasn't exposed to the elements, a bit of primer, a missing cover and some rust along the bottom edge. Ah, but then you see the modern and comfortable, cloth covered, bucket seats as well as the carpeting. The steering wheel looks like the well worn original until you notice that it's really a vintage Impala hub and horn ring. The dash is kind of a Teal, which matches the steering wheel, with modern Dolphin gauges replacing the originals. A Lokar shifter for the automatic transmission looks right at home extending up from the floor and there is an AM/FM and iPod compatible stereo hidden in there somewhere.
Open the hood and you will find a modern 350 cubic inch motor nestled down in the engine bay that stays in character with the rest of the truck by not being flashy. There is a ribbed, cast aluminum air filter assembly sitting on top of an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor and intake manifold. An aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps things running cool and long tube headers wind their way out to cherry bomb style mufflers which give this truck a healthy rumbling sound. Power flows back through a 4-speed automatic transmission to the rear wheels mounted on leaf springs. You may have noticed that the suspension has been lowered a bit, and it also has power steering and power front disc brakes that provide great handling and stopping ability. The rubber meets the road through 275/40R18s in the back and 245/45R17s in the front mounted on those beautiful chrome Boss wheels.
Come on down and see what the gold standard of dirt and grunge looks like, and drives like. Then take it home, head out for a couple shows, and start loading up that bed with trophies.
