How do you improve upon the look of the big fenders and classically beautiful curves of a Chevy 3100 pickup? You don't. But you can focus even more attention on them by removing extraneous hardware like door handles and finishing them out nicely in Orange metal flake paint. Then it's OK to go ahead and customize the interior and modify the drive train. That's what they have done here, and the results are outstanding. Check it out.
While they didn't mess with the curves of the body, they did drop them down a bit closer to the ground. This truck's fenders are hunkered down low over some seriously large tires with a nice bit of rake to the chassis. The view from the side is super clean with door poppers replacing the handles and a super slick custom bowtie gas cap that flows perfectly along with the curve of the rear fender. The view from the front is equally clean with no hood ornamentation or badging, just the super clean lines of the chrome grill underlined by a simple curved bumper. The headlight trim chrome is also sharp and looks extra trick at night when halo ring headlights are turned on. Bowtie running lights and a bowtie step plate grace the running boards and a sweet ...
Bowtie running lights and a bowtie step plate grace the running boards and a sweet looking tonneau cover has some nice custom work in black. Lifting that cover reveals nicely finished wooden and polished stainless floor.
Open the door and get ready to be awed. The custom door panel sets the color theme of the interior in Black and Silver. There is a chrome 3100 badge at the top and power window switches at your fingertips. Climb on up into the black and silver, leather, power operated, BMW seats and reach out for the beefy wooden steering wheel. It's mounted on a tilt column along with the shifter for the automatic transmission and sits in front of a custom dashboard. White faced TPI Tech gauges are mounted with the speedometer on the right and 4 gauges in one monitoring critical engine functions on the left. Set in a nice wood tone panel in the center is an Alpine AM/FM/CD and Bluetooth compatible stereo for your listening pleasure. Below that is an A/C system to keep you cool on hot summer days and a center console provides an armrest, cup holders and some storage. Overhead is a custom bowtie headliner.
Pop the hood and you will find a 350 cubic inch V8 motor tucked down in a neat and clean engine bay. The polished air topper identifies it with a 350 Turbo-Fire decal and it feeds a Holley 4-barrel carburetor and an Edelbrock intake manifold. Chrome and polished pieces abound in this engine bay with the brake master cylinder and booster, the alternator, pulleys and the valve covers all dressed up for the show. Billet guides and insulated boots protect the ignition wires from the heat of the long tube headers as they get the spent gasses headed out to Flowmaster mufflers. An aluminum radiator keeps things running cool and there is a custom Tig welded aluminum reservoir mounted to the fender. Power flows back through a 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive to the rear wheels. Power front disc brakes assure that you can haul this beauty back down from speed if you decide to let the horses run and the rubber meets the road through massive 29x15.50-15LT tires in the back and 215/70R15 tires in the front mounted on steel wheels with hub caps and trim rings.
A super clean look, beautiful paint, a custom interior and a healthy V8 drivetrain. What are you waiting for? Come on down and check this sweet ride out.
