SUPER RARE PILLARLESS WAGON, 364 NAILHEAD V8, DYNAFLO, PS, PB, GORGEOUS RESTO

Amazing style and a stellar restoration come together on this 1957 Buick Century Caballero. And when you have something unique as a hardtop wagon, you're going to want to show it off everywhere. That's why it really needs it to be as award-worthy as this one.

The station wagon started out as a true specialist machine, and these Buick hardtops were a tribute to that experience. Built at the Iona Manufacturing Co., instead of Fisher, these bodies were by specialists who understood how to create something quite striking. And because these steel-bodied hardtops were only available for a short period, they will always be a cherished chapter of American motoring. But more than just history is what attracts you to this wagon. It has been expertly restored to be absolutely memorable. The level of investment in the Candy Apple Red paint makes us want to call this a ruby. And you'll understand, too, once the sunlight reveals the depth and gloss that's in the paintwork. And we absolutely love how the side trim is utilized for the two-tone combo. Plus, we could call the unique profile a “triple-dip Buick,” because the unique hardtop is showcased by the beautiful slope seen in the roofline, ... Please ask for the full description.

Plus, we could call the unique profile a "triple-dip Buick," because the unique hardtop is showcased by the beautiful slope seen in the roofline, doorline, and side trim. And with this much invested in the paint and body, you better believe they didn't forget to bring the brightwork up to the same level. The large grille looks like a 10,000-watt smile; the 1950 hood ornament is the perfect addition; and the intricate bumpers have been freshly re-dipped along with all the other trim. Plus, we know you caught sight of period-correct Kelsey Hayes 40-spoke wire wheels that perfectly finish off this shining and premium presentation.

Because the hardtop makes sneeking a peek at the interior much easier, you'll love how the red and white theme is continued inside. The handsome interior looks like it has had a serious investment in keeping it looking period-correct. The seats have a crisp pleating on both rows, and so while there is only 1,500 miles on this wagon since completion, it really looks like today is day one. We love how the door panels, dash, headliner, and carpeting are all part of a well-coordinated package. Sit in the driver's seat, and you are treated to a bright styling masterpiece. The steering wheel is purely built for elegance with a full chrome trim ring and Buick crest in the center. Everything from the speedometer to the heat/defrost controls feel like part of a thoughtful layout. Even Buick's SonoMatic AM radio is still in place and playing the old time tunes...yes, this car feels that good!

1957 was also a great year because it was the debut of an updated and larger 364 cubic-inch Nailhead V8 motor. Despite the odd name, the lightweight design, big torque, and hardy construction make these legendary powerplants. It looks spectacular in this engine bay with the bright radiator and copper-colored air topper adding real distinction. And more than just the shine, it has the neat and tidy kind of appearance that will make you proud to show it off. But more than just look good, this special wagon was meant to drive. The four-barrel carburetor helped delivers extra power, and the two-speed Dynaflow automatic transmission makes sure you get a Buick-level smoothness. Add in power steering, power brakes, and Buck's legendary ride, and you've got a something that you'll love driving to all the shows near or far.

This was originally built for the discriminating few (it cost almost the price of two base Chevys,) and today this one heightens that attitude with an upper-echelon restoration. So if you are ready for bright and refined classic, this rare treat is ready now. Call today!!!
