An affordable, full-sized classic convertible in great factory-correct colors and the original small block under the hood. Did we also forget to mention this 1967 Chevrolet Impala has only averaged about 900 miles annually and has some TV fame?
We know why you love the 1967 Impalas. This was the first year the sheetmetal received some very seductive curves that made Chevy's full-size offering truly sporty. The exceptional condition of body really highlights these features, and it lets us know it was in the hands of a true collector. This one is not trying to be an SS. Instead it has the laid back honesty that comes from looking terrific in its subtle shade of Marina Blue. With such great chrome the car has the feeling of a movie star (we only have been told it was used in the background of the TV show Bewitched.) Even the details are correct - the white electric folding roof fits snugly; the trim is bright and complete; and the doors hang with the crispness not seen in many surviving convertibles of this era. Keen eyes might spot that this Impala is wearing an updated version of Chevy's iconic Rally wheels, but the original hubcaps even come with the sale for the purists out ... Inside, the factory correct (and possibly original) blue vinyl is a true 60s Chevy hallmark. It has a fantastic metallic element that's attention grabbing without being flashy for the era. The front bench seat is something that would have been replaced on a restomod, but that wouldn't be right on this one. Instead, here's a near perfect time machine going back to the days when the entire family would have rather sat in the front than had the open road obscured from the back seat. Just like any good 1960's car, this sea of blue is given plenty of nice chrome touches on places like the door panels, dash, and steering wheel with cool impala center cap. All of this feels very original right down to the factory AM radio and heater controls.
Look under the hood to see the original 283 cubic-inch V8 in true original glory. This one looks outstandingly authentic with its bright Chevy orange block, flat black air cleaner, and ram's horn exhaust. It even has those great manufacturing plant stickers on the valve covers. It's this kind of amazing appearance that instantly validates the ultra low 44,281 miles on the odometer. Of course you won't be able to resist adding a few more miles to that tally by piling your family and friends into this droptop and going out for a cruise. And with great features like power steering and Powerglide automatic transmission, you should be the king of Sunday drives.
This is the affordable classic convertible that looks fantastic in its pure originality, has a story to tell, and even comes with a large document binder that includes the original bill of sale, dealer invoice, maintenance records, and owner's manual. Starting to get the picture on this one? It's the Impala that will be attract attention away from far more expensive restored vehicles.
