The four-spoke power-assisted steering wheel sits just ahead of a five-pod analog gauge cluster featuring a 7,000-rpm tachometer and 140-mph speedometer. The original AM/FM/CD head unit is in place, still sporting its factory plastic barcode cover, along with the factory HVAC controls and a barely touched shift knob, making this Mustang feel as though it just emerged from a three-decade-old time capsule. Sporting modern amenities such as power locks, windows, and mirrors to complement its air conditioning and cruise control, allowing this car to be comfy enough to drive every day.

Under the hood, this Cobra sports its original naturally aspirated 5.0-liter High-Output V-8 engine. With its Cobra-specific GT-40 style intake manifold, heads, and cam, this potent small block made an impressive 235 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque when it rolled off the assembly line. That power is routed through its original Borg-Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission, beefed up from the factory to handle the Cobra's increased power, before it heads out to the 3.08-geared 8.8-inch rear end.
