When it first debuted as a complete redesign, the tenth-generation Thunderbird introduced a new platform and a fresh take on the model's 'personal luxury car' motto. This 1990 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe comes fully repainted in a vibrant red, accentuating the SC's ground effects and embossed rear bumper and trick deck spoiler, which reminds everyone that SC can also stand for 'supercharged'.

Pop open that expansive hood, and we find an overhead valve 3.8-liter supercharged and intercooled V-6 engine. Thanks to its Eaton roots-type blower, stout iron block and lightweight aluminum heads, this supercharged six was able to pump out an impressive 210 horsepower and 315 pound-feet of torque when it rolled off the assembly line three and a half decades ago. That power is routed through a Ford AOD four-speed automatic transmission before being sent to the limited-slip rear end. A set of sixteen-inch alloy wheels shod in 225/60R-16 Firestone tires put all that power to the pavement.
