Description
Packed with power and upgrades, this 1974 Chevrolet Nova is finished in deep Metallic Blue with Black stripes that showcase its 4-inch cowl hood. This Nova's styling has been retro-updated with 1970 style front sheet, metal grill, lights and chrome bumper up front, and a 1970 style tail panel, taillights and chrome bumper in the rear. The 1974 roofline combined with earlier model styling front and rear create a unique look. This Nova's great looks are enhanced by a set of 15-inch Weld-style mag wheels with tires staggered 205/60R15 front and 235/60R15 rear for the perfect stance.
The clean black interior features custom diamond-pleated upholstery with comfortable high back buckets seats, color-coordinated blue Grant GT steering wheel, Vintage air conditioning, B&M ratchet-style floor shifter, bowtie logo floor mats and a large white-faced Equus tachometer with matching smaller temperature, volts and oil pressure gauges mounted at the bottom of the dash.
Lifting this Nova's cowl hood reveals a potent 383 cubic inch stroker motor from Gordon Engines paired with 700R4 automatic transmission with a 3800-stall converter. The engine is equipped with aluminum heads, Edelbrock Performer RPM aluminum intake, Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection, custom red valve covers with "383 STROKER" call out, open-element air cleaner, power steering, HEI ignition and an aluminum radiator with a large electric fan, as well long-tube headers that flow back through rumbling Flowmaster mufflers.
This Nova handles especially well thanks to a Mustang ll style front suspension with power rack and pinion steering, power front disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors, subframe connectors, rear CalTrac traction bars and a 10-bolt rear end with an Auburn posi unit and 3.73 gears.
