Description
The 1955 Chevrolet was one of the most popular cars of the 1950s when it was new and is equally as popular today. One look at this beautiful 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air two-door sedan, and it is easy to see why. Finished attractively in two-toned factory colors Coral and Shadow Gray, this Bel Air has been tastefully upgraded in just the right places. With its glossy paint finish, accessory fender skirts, bow-tie-shaped chrome dual exhaust tips, and wide whitewall radial tires, this top-of-the-line trim level Bel Air is a whole of 1950s flair and character.
Inside, the upholstery has been upgraded with comfortable two-tone dark and light gray tweed cloth, seat belts, a retro AM/FM/cassette player with bow-tie logo radio in the dash, a removable center console with cup holders, and Starmate R satellite radio. A modern air conditioning system and tinted glass keep the cabin cool on hot days.
Under the hood, the original 265 cubic inch engine and 2-speed Powerglide transmission have been upgraded to a smooth-running 350 cubic inch GM crate engine paired with a 4-speed 700R4 transmission. Other under-hood upgrades include a 4-barrel intake manifold topped with an Edelbrock carburetor and chrome open-element air cleaner, pusher electric and mechanical fans, and headers exiting through a glass-pack style equipped dual exhaust system producing a throaty and nostalgic sound.
