Description
Few cars personify the automotive spirit of the 1960s quite like this numbers-matching 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Fuel Injected Split-Window. Fully repainted in this head-turning Riverside Red, this one-year wonder showcases its sleek hardtop coupe body style like no other C2 in history. Originally born as a carbureted L76, this Split-Window was converted to a fuel-injected L84 using period-correct parts from a donor Fuelie.
Inside, we find a fully restored red vinyl interior. A center console separates the dual bucket seats, while a three-spoke steering wheel sits just ahead of the C2 six-pod gauge cluster, featuring a 7,000 rpm tachometer and a 150 mph speedometer. A large analog clock sits high atop the center stack, while an AM/FM head unit handles soundtrack duties. Thanks to the coupe setup, this 'Vette also sports a sizeable cargo area behind the seats, making road trips equal parts practical and fun. Even has a signature on the driver's side visor of famous auto designer, Larry Shinoda.
Under that front-hinged hood, we find a clean engine bay housing a numbers-matching 327 cubic-inch V-8. Built by the legendary Jerry Bramlett, this small block features redone heads and a new DeWitt radiator, along with its Fuelie conversion. Also available with the purchase of the car is the original GM Snowflake intake manifold, carburetor, distributor, air cleaner, and hardware. Power is routed through a tried-and-true four-speed manual transmission before heading to the Corvette rear end, which transfers those ponies to the pavement.
