Inside, we find an original and correct Sand Beige cloth interior. A center console separates a pair of comfortable bucket seats with power lumbar adjustment. A two-spoke power-assisted steering wheel sits ahead of a 7,000 rpm tachometer and 140 mph speedometer, each flanked by a pair of auxiliary gauges. Simple HVAC controls make switching on the air conditioning easy, while power locks, mirrors, windows, cruise control, and an AM/FM cassette player offer all the modern amenities anyone could want in the late 1980s.

Unlike so many of these cars that have been highly modified and changed over time, under the hood of this pony car, we find Ford's venerable 5.0-liter V-8 engine that, aside from its three-point strut tower brace and upgraded air intake, shorty headers and better sounding MagnaFlow mufflers, looks much as it did when it rolled off the assembly line. Power from that small block is routed through a T5 five-speed manual transmission before being sent out to the 8-inch rear end.
