ONLY 8,860 MILES, SUPRCHRD 5.0L COYOTE V8, 6SPD AUTO, MODRN POWR/OPTIONS, NICE!!

When it comes down to tuner Mustangs, no other name stands as tall as Jack Roush. The cars (and engines) bearing the legendary name represent the pinnacle of Blue Oval performance, demonstrated in excellent form by this 2017 Ford Mustang Roush P-51. Aeronautically themed and inspired by the hallowed North American Aviation P-51 Mustang fighter plane that owned the skies in WWII, only 51 of these limited editions 2017 P-51s ever made, and this one happen to be #27. With only 8,860 actual miles, a transferable powertrain warranty and tire/wheel protection plan, and offered with a bunch of original provenance, this dogfighter remains practically in as-delivered condition, ready to launch into battle with 727 horses under its nose.

The rather unusual Ingot Silver Metallic finish is accentuated by carbon fiber pieces and a unique stripe and decal package that harkens back to the fighter jets of old, featuring a painted-on P-51 hood stripe decked-out in Army green, air induction scoops on the hood and rear quarters, an aggressive rear valance, and loads of super-cool P-51 and Roush badges found throughout. Not surprisingly, the body is reminiscent of the Roush 427R, but what sets it apart is ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

Not surprisingly, the body is reminiscent of the Roush 427R, but what sets it apart is the unique Aero body Kit with highlights like the aggressive front fascia, a carbon-fiber front splitter with stanchions, ambient lighting in the front grille, and a blacked-out tail-panel and carbon-fiber decklid spoiler to name a few. With such low mileage and only two owners since new, the physical presentation is immaculate, showing no imperfections beyond a freckle-sized flaw or two that could be seen with a microscope. Still, we haven't found anything to complain about. The deeper Roush chin spoiler isn't mangled and scraped, the unique hood scoop sits proudly atop the hood, and the rear wing fits so well that it's hard to believe it was installed in three pieces. As usual, the highest praise we can give a car is that it is like new, and this car, aside from some tinted windows, PPF on the nose/mirrors/rockers, and a professional ceramic coating application on the entire body, presents the way it would have when the first owner unwrapped it on a very special day in 2017. Roush was always careful to select functional, not merely cosmetic, upgrades, so the body add-ons add stability at high speeds and force-feed cool air to the supercharged power plant living under the hood. Lower valance fog lights give the front end a purposeful look, and the rear spoiler adds downforce at speed, which is always welcome.

Inside, you get special P-51 sports seating featuring Amaretto Tuscany leather hides that were explicitly picked to mimic the bomber jackets. P-51 fighters wore back in the day, along with a few special touches that were all part of Jack's dog-fighter Mustang. P-51 embroidered sports seats are supportive and comfortable, and it's easy to get comfortable behind that fat three-spoke steering wheel full of controls. The Warbird-inspired door panels with matching leather inserts are also an excellent touch. Other upgrades include flashy silver dash appliques, a full array of sporty digital Roush gauges, Roush embroidered floormats, Roush door sill plates, billet performance pedals, as well as a couple of P-51 badges, and the serialized #27 P-51 badge that is a big part of a limited edition's appeal. All the other Mustang features made the transition untouched, including cold A/C, power windows, locks, mirrors, seats, cruise control, and a kickin' Shaker AM/FM/CD stereo with a big screen manning the command center. We dig Jack's dedication to making the car faster, and it shows inside where there's no extraneous gear, just the stuff you need for the serious business of driving. Because the P-51 was always meant to drive like it was chasing the Luftwaffe, it needs a proper soundtrack to back up all that power. Roush's Active Exhaust system controls mounted on the center console offer endless exhaust sound possibilities. The trunk is a standard Mustang, so it has plenty of room, and this car also carries the ultra-cool and costly custom Roush tool kit built into the lid.

Power comes primarily from that big honkin' supercharger sitting on top of Ford's 5.0L liter Coyote V8 engine. The 'Roushcharger' is a Roush Stage 2, 2.3L Eaton TVS supercharger that delivers enough boost to generate 727 horsepower and 610 pounds of torque. Custom tuning means it runs and drives just like a stocker, and it's docile enough that your grandmother could drive it every day and not know the monster that lives within. Other goodies include a complete Roush TrakPak set-up with a 3-way adjustable coil-over suspension, upgraded half-shafts, a Roush Active Quad-Tip exhaust with black tips that sounds magnificent in any iteration, and a few under-hood dress-up items, not the least of which is the blacked-out supercharger case, oversized air filter, and bright red coil covers. There's another P-51 badge that shows off the car's rarity, along with Jack Roush's autograph, and as you might expect, it's all dressed up for the show. Along with the sporty suspension, it's got the brakes to keep it under control, with a Performance Friction brake rotor and pad package augmented with Brembo calipers. Roush also provides a set of lightweight black TrakPak 19-inch wheels by Weld that look nasty and are shod with sticky Continental 295/35/19 rubber that keep it planted.

Barely broken in and set up with all its original goodies, this is #27 out of 51 total 2017 P-51s ever built, and just a few years ago was "the most powerful American pre-titled car ever built." Rare and ready to dominate the show field or the racetrack, this is the specialty Mustang for the discerning collector. Call now!
