ALL ORIGINAL TEXAS TRUCK, A/C HAS BEEN RECENTLY SERVICED, ONLY 65K MILES
Most trucks lead a hard life. They're loaded full of stuff, forced to tow around several tons more, and thanks to their rugged nature they're expected to do so for hundreds of thousands of miles. Some trucks get lucky, though, and they're simply used as well-kept transportation. Such was the life of this cool 1984 Chevy Silverado: low miles, careful owners, and no hard labor make it the truck to own.
Outside you're greeted with the original paint. Yes, ORIGINAL paint, on a 1984 Chevy truck! It's been in Texas from day one, and its three owners must have always had a place to house it indoors, and since it's a Silverado, it has all of that cool trim which is in great shape. That trim also means factory two-tone possibilities like the Indian Bronze over Ivory shown here, which is still attractive and definitely period-perfect. Original tinted glass is in all openings and looks great. The bed has some scratches here and there, but far fewer than you'd expect to find in a twenty year old truck. There's a bright rear step bumper with hitch, and there's an electronic brake controller inside for easy towing, making this a truck that is still willing to earn its keep.
Inside you'll find just about every option available. On the sticker you'll notice the "Sequoia Special," which netted you free air conditioning if you bought a pile of other options. So on the outside you'll find the deluxe two-tone paint and deluxe front appearance packages, halogen high beam headlamps, and tinted glass while inside you'll have an electric clock, the operating convenience package (power windows and locks), an AM/FM stereo radio, electronic speed control, tilt steering column, and intermittent windshield wipers at your disposal. Silverados were also equipped with more luxurious deep pile carpeting, nicer door panels with map pockets and carpet/velour trims and velour seats. It's 100% original in here down to the AM/FM radio in the dash, and it's all in very nice shape.
Under the hood is a bulletproof 305 cubic inch V8, again in completely original trim. The LE9 code engine put out 160 horsepower and 235 pounds of torque, and with the TH350 3-speed automatic transmission in the tunnel and highway-friendly gears out back it offers a low stress, relaxed driving experience. The air conditioning blows cold and was converted to R134a refrigerant. Normally we'd write about what's been changed or updated, but with only 65,000 original miles the need to replace parts simply hasn't come up. Newer shocks are at all four corners while disc brakes are up front, and the exhaust has a throatier tone thanks to the Flowmaster muffler in place of the stock can. Range isn't a problem thanks to the factory dual fuel tank option, so take it easy on the coffee before a road trip. The truck has a great rake to it, and there's a pile of attitude from the Ridler five spoke 20-inch wheels with 255/45/20 front and 290/40/20 rear performance radials.
Most cars we sell though here are old enough that history is tough to come by, but this '84 model comes with a 100% clean AutoCheck vehicle history report. You'll also get the original options build sheet, the original owner's manual, and the original warranty paperwork.
