383 V8, 700R4 4SPD AUTO, PWR STEERING/BRAKE, RUNS/DRIVES WELL, GR8 LOOKING TRUCK

Ready to win some trophies? This 1966 Chevrolet C10 will do it for you. With a comprehensive restoration featuring a stunning Pewter paint job and a neatly finished interior, it's a subtle resto-mod skillfully accents all that was great about Chevy's '60s haulers. And with a thumping 383 Stroker V8 under the hood mated to a 700R4 automatic transmission, it's faster and more powerful than anything Chevy was producing in '66, and that's a good thing.

If you want to get noticed, don't go with flames and bright colors, do it with skill, then paint it a uniform color without bells and whistles that distract from the finish. That was the mantra behind this build, which combines impressive craftsmanship and time-consuming attention to detail resulting in an exceptional application of the Pewter finish that adorns this truck today. Fit and finish are great, and if this truck ever spent days out in the field or on the job site, all evidence of it has been completely erased by the build. Instead, the sheet metal is straight, the bright and vivid paint makes similar cars in our showroom look dirty, and every corner was honed to a sharp edge that reflects the light most impressively.

Most of the profile trim was deleted for a smooth, uniform look, although the front grille, front bumper, light bezels, door handles, and side mirrors remain. They glitter against the paint, accenting the original design and the modified stance. There's also a freshly restored wooden bed that warms up the Pewter paint job even further and offers flashy stainless steel rub strips that have yet to see a drop of rain or a piece of cargo. Out back, the tailgate seals it all up, and a roll pan was added instead of a rear chrome bumper for a slightly trick look that accentuates the step-side bed. Everywhere you look, this truck is just MONEY.

They worked the same kind of magic inside, where the light pewter interior was simply restored with a nice mixture of stock and modern components, but in a very exceptional way. Look how well that vinyl seat cover fits, how smoothly the plush carpet flows around the floorboard without a wrinkle, and the pleasing contrast between the painted door panels and their bright stainless hardware. The single-pane instrument panel covers only the basics but does it so well that you won't even notice, and that leather-rimmed Grant steering wheel looks awesome perched on the aftermarket tilt column. There's no A/C, but the heat/defrost unit will keep you company on cold nights, and they left the original Chevrolet AM radio in the dash because it looks incredibly cool, although it will need an upgrade if tunes are a must-have while you cruise. A glance up top reveals a neatly painted interior roof, matching the dash, kick panels, and all the other exposed steel inside, and it all still looks and feels very fresh. This cab is a very comfortable place to be.

The thumping 383 cubic inch Stroker V8 crate engine under the hood was built for battle and powers this C10 effortlessly, transforming it into a more muscle truck than a weekend hauler. Augmented with Edelbrock aluminum heads, a hydraulic roller cam, and lifters, a double-rolling timing gear set-up, Speed Pro pistons, hardened push rods, and dual Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetors atop an Edelbrock intake, it's fully sorted and running like a top with years of street dominance ahead of it. It's dressed for show under the hood, with plenty of chrome on the valve covers, air cleaner, and major engine accessories. With a smoothed firewall and matching inner fenders painted to match the exterior, it pops. Service access remains quite good, and while pretty much everything looks newer, it's also smart since the truck was built to drive. Power steering and power front disc brakes are worthy upgrades when you're reworking an entire vehicle, as is the BeCool aluminum radiator and auxiliary fan, MSD ignition, and gel-cell battery. When the truck was restored, the entire chassis was painted black and nicely detailed. The suspension has been augmented with many new parts, and it's also been lowered with 4-inch drop spindles that give it that awesome stance. Long-tube headers feed a fresh Flowmaster dual exhaust system that sounds fantastic linked up with the powerful stroker motor. Between the 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with overdrive and the GM 12-bolt rear with Eaton axles and 3.42 gears inside, cruising is effortless. Flashy 20-inch US Mags chrome wheels look right and are wrapped with fat 245/40/20 front and 275/40/20 performance radials that have enough sidewall to make this truck look like, well, a truck.

There's a ton of money in this C10 build, but the effort will pay off handsomely for the next lucky owner. Call today!
