ONE-OWNER, 355 V8, SOUNDS NICE, 5SPD TRANS, LOTS SUSPENSION UPGRADES, GR8 DRIVER

This 1977 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 has quite a cool story. It's a one-owner car that was stored for over two decades and then resurrected with investments in the interior, suspension, transmission, and strong small block power. So this is a cool coupe that seems to straddle the line between barn find and restomod.

The 1977 Camaro Z/28 was a unique design that split some of the design details of the previous model year and the 1978 update. You can see some of this single-year style in the color-matched bumpers. It's a special kind of car, and so we can understand why one owner would keep it for 45 years. It has a nice Z/28 performance car appearance with the three-piece rear spoiler and the later-style mag wheels. And we like how the clean grille, headlight bezels, bumper guards, and rear panel all have a coordinating black. The current shade of brown was applied before the car went into a 22-year hibernation. So today it is far from perfect, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. Some of us like a car that wears its history like a patina/worn badge of honor and serves as a catalyst to tell the coupe's unique story. Everyone else will look at all the investments in the interior, ... Please ask for the full description.

Description

Everyone else will look at all the investments in the interior, suspension, and motor, and realize it's a value price for a car of this caliber. So you can certainly have room in your budget for the paint and bodywork to make your ideal classic.

The interior is where you start to recognize the real investments in this Camaro. You have terrific high-back bucket seats with excellent bolstering and large headrests. The carpeting is newer, the dash pad is smooth, the headliner is taut, and the glass is good. There's also an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo with USB and Bluetooth. You get the right classic driver pieces like the NK4 sports steering wheel and a nice wraparound gauge panel featuring a large speedo and tach. And have you counted the gears on the Hurst shifter yet?

The engine bay has a fresh and clean presentation because this car has a fresh and powerful heart. It's a 355 cubic-inch V8 upgrade that is claimed to have been installed about 1k miles ago. This includes a Brawler four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock aluminum intake, and headers feeding an H-pipe dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. You'll also spot good supporting components, like an MSD 6AL ignition, a Holley fuel pump, and a Mishimoto aluminum radiator. It's a strong-running package, and you get to control it with an upgraded Tremec five-speed manual transmission upgrade. And speaking of control, the undercarriage shows a big investment in the suspension. It includes a Hotchkis performance kit that includes tubular front A-arms, lowering springs, subframe connectors, and sway bars front and rear. An upgraded power steering system, new body mounts, power brakes, and upgraded front discs are all part of a solid performance driving package.

The sale comes complete with build receipts, service manuals, and an original bill of sale that proves this is a one-owner coupe. Here's a classic Camaro that has an awesome history and the right investment to keep this a truly desirable Z-car. A classic this special never stays idle for long. Call now!
