FUEL INJECTED 5.7 LITER LS1, 6-SPEED MANUAL TRANS, PS/PB, DUAL EXHAUST, CONVERTIBLE, RESTOMOD!!

This 1958 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible may look like a classic C1, but as you dig deeper, you'll see the fuel-injected LS1 V8, six-speed transmission, loaded A/C interior, four-wheel disc brakes, modern frame, and fully independent suspension of the C4. So that makes for a slick restomod with all the best modern luxuries and awesome moves on the streets.

For many of us, 1958 is the ideal place to start a restomod build. The first-gen Corvette was in a sweet spot where it had been updated to the commanding quad headlight front end, but the rear still had the classic angular style. It was a blending of vintage and new which is the overall theme of this custom build. You see it in the paint where it has the right tone for a year-correct Silver Blue, and the Inca Silver was even available for the side coves. However, the metallic radiance these colors have today is something the factory could never deliver. So you get the right style, but in a unique way that signals to other Corvette fans to pay extra attention. There are all the right timeless elements, like the split bumper front end and toothy grille giving a 10,000-watt smile. There's even more mirror-like brightwork running up the ...

There's even more mirror-like brightwork running up the fenders, along the side cove, and on the form-fitting rear bumper. Plus, we love to see the chrome spears on the trunk looking so good because they are a 1958 exclusive. All this polish is taken up a notch by C6 Z06-style wheels... and they also hint at the added performance within.

The white roof looks pristine and fits snuggly, but for true distinction, we know you'll be taking it down. That's because the gray leather interior goes so nicely with the exterior colors, and it all has a clean look that reminds you how few miles are on this build. Plus, you'll love showing off how thoughtfully integrated the upgrades are. For example, the bucket seats have better contouring than you got in '58, but they still fit within the contoured tonneau. Modern luxuries were added with care so that the air conditioning vents were integrated into the color-matched dash, and the classic-style Wonderbar radio is really an AM/FM unit with Bluetooth. The driving experience is enhanced with a smaller diameter sports steering wheel that still keeps the classic Corvette center cap. Beyond that, the gauge package appears vintage... until you turn the key and see the modern LED panel of this Dakota Digital upgrade.

Just like the rest of this custom build, the engine bay had a solid investment in creating an upgraded package. The engine cover has the unmistakable style of the 5.7-liter LS1 V8 borrowed from a C5 Corvette. The presentation has the kind of tidiness that makes it show-worthy, and that's not a coincidence. This car is coming from an NCRS judge. And because this is someone who cares deeply about Corvettes, he also says the fundamentals were done right, including a new oil pump, timing chain, water pump, and all electrical sensors. And while you're looking over the photos, don't forget to check out underneath. The ultra-clean style proves how comprehensive the build was and how little it has been driven since. You'll also notice the strong Chassis Concepts tubular chassis. It makes for a better driver's car. So do features like fully independent suspension similar to the C4 Corvette. Plus, you have four-wheel power disc brakes, drilled & slotted rotors, power steering, and the grip of modern sport tires. Best of all, this fuel-injected power and sharp handling car is fully under your control with a T56 six-speed manual transmission.

Complete with restoration photos, this is the vintage look you love and the modern amenities that will make you love driving this. So if you're looking for one classic for both show AND go, call today!
