This 1968 Dodge Coronet is a real-deal Super Bee, which instantly makes it alluring. But when you see the awesome color combo, awesome paperwork, and awesomely upgraded 440 V8, you'll realize this coupe is unequivocally AWESOME.
Chrysler basically solidifies the muscle car era with its late '60s B-Body cars. After all, 1968 evolved the intimidating blocky B-body design into a flared road-owning coupes. And it was also the debut year of the Super Bee. These were specifically made to be powerful and cool, and so this one just seems right in an updated shade of High Impact Plum Crazy. It has a nice metallic that likes to show off the square-jaw lines that have been menacing lesser cars for decades. Part of this intimidation factor also comes from big shining chrome bumpers, wide dual exhaust tips, and an awesome stance showcased by the polished Torq Thrust wheels. But what you really love about this Super Bee is its dark side. The black vinyl roof and correct Super Bee stripe over the rear have received the right attention so you'll love showcasing them. And, of course, no one can ever miss the A12-inspired lightweight fiberglass hood with a massive air grabber on top.

The black accents of the exterior are also your preview of the full black interior. We love the attention to keeping this one looking vintage but feeling fresh. So that means nice upholstery on the two wide rows of bench seats, updated carpeting, and a smooth dash. There are even fun details like the working dome light and AM radio that's there for a display. You will find a few updates like the Super Bee floor mats and wood-rimmed steering wheel, but these additions just feel like they add appeal while not taking away from the vintage atmosphere. After all the tingle you get from the pistol grip shifter and watching the Rallye gauges dance are pure Mopar magic.
Open the hood, and see an engine bay filled with big block power. The 440 Magnum V8 is one of the best powerhouses of its day, and this is further enhanced by an Edelbrock four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock RPM intake, and aluminum heads. It's all part of a package that comes from a nice investment in a rebuild around 2015. So it's a strong-running stout V8 that makes a terrific tune when exhaling out of the H-pipe dual exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers. But more than just providing some of the best muscle car power for the streets, the Magnum was known to be one of the easiest to live with, too. This is backed up by great driving features such as the four-speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, front discs, and a front end rebuilt in 2017.
There is some rather impressive paperwork that comes with this sale. It includes the dealer invoice, original window sticker, owner's manual, and maintenance records. So now you know how all-around awesome this first-year Super Bee is. That's why it would be awesome to have this in your garage. Call today!!!
