It's easy to love a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 because they have a mean-looking style. But this one takes it to a whole new level of power and aggression. It delivers the classic appearance you want, but now there is an upgraded big 460 V8 motor, a distinct color theme, four-wheel disc brakes, an upgraded suspension, and an awesomely clean driver-focused interior. The inspiration was the Mustang we first see in the movie John Wick, and they succeeded in delivering a true superstar stunner.
Pepper Gray is the kind of color that gives both an aggressive and modern look while respecting the pony car lineage. This was part of the full restoration that was completed earlier this year. There are terrific details, like fresh chrome bumpers, complete trim, and clean glass. The dark tone of the color makes for the ideal companion to all the black components, like the blackout hood with hood scoop, chin spoiler, grille, and a blackout rear panel. And the aggression continues on features, like the hood locks, dual exhaust tips, factory fender vents, and Shelby-inspired 10-spoke alloys with an 18/20 inch front/rear stagger that allows for upgraded tires and brakes to make a better driver's car. Description
In fact, it's good to remember what the John Wick car was all about. It was an awesome car that others wanted, but it was also something that John was never nervous about driving. So we like that this one will never make you afraid to let it out of your garage.
The black accents of the exterior get you ready for the full black interior. There are only 250 miles since restoration, so upholstery, door panels, dash pad, carpeting, dash, and other fundamentals have a fresh look. And we appreciate all the classic details, like the center console, plenty of wood-like trim, and full interior light package. Plus, the bucket seats with Comfort-Weave inserts and cool red stripe are pure classic Mustang awesome. You'll spot a few well-integrated upgrades, and they are all about making this a better driver's machine. This includes the grippy three-spoke sports steering wheel, a tilt column, and those glowing gauges with speedo and tach. And the retro-style AM/FM stereo with Bluetooth means better modern driving music.
Filling the engine bay is a big 460 cubic-inch big block Ford power. The V8 has the kind of clean and tidy style that tells you there was a good investment here during the fresh restoration. It's a Lamar Walden-built package that has been bored .30 over and enhanced with a hydraulic roller cam, an Offenhauser intake, and topped with a Holley 750 four-barrel carburetor. It's supported by good components like an MSD ignition system, Ford racing wires, upgraded pulleys, and an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans. So you can see how this was built to be a powerful motor for the streets, and the full package was made to let you enjoy the power to the fullest. The stout C6 three-speed automatic transmission was rebuilt in 2021 with a 3000 RPM stall and a mild shift kit. It feeds a strong Ford 9-inch rear with versatile gearing. As you look at the undercarriage photos, you'll spot suspension upgrades like tubular front A-arms, subframe connectors, a rear sway bar, and rear traction bars. You also have power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, and ZR-rated performance tires for an all-around solid driving package.
John Wick loved to drive his Mustang, and the way this one delivers power and style means you're going to love this power pony it inspired, too. Don't miss out, call today!
